Job Description

Project Manager

Location: Sana’a with regular travel to other sites(Hodeida).
Period: 10 months, renewable subject to performance.
Duty Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Sana'a –Yemen.
Terms: Full Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to the work sites.
Classification: Programs & projects Management.
Expected start Date: 1st of Feb 2022.
Job grade: - third degree.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Project Manager.
Purpose/Scope of the task
Manages the main and sub-tasks of the project in addition to the full administrative and technical supervision of the work team’s tasks.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1.    Project Manager works directly with the supporting administration to create a work plan and provide supervision and support to relevant project staff regarding the implementation of project in the field.
2.    Project manager will be responsible of the daily affairs, monitoring and follow up the implementation of the project . 
3.    He/she will be responsible of having supervision and mentoring visits to the project sites on monthly basis (50% of his/her time would be in field and 50% would be in head office). 
4.    Following up the implementation of activities of the project .
5.    He or she will role in the field by visiting the field during the implementation of all the project activities and to provide mentoring sessions for the project field staff as required. ( Head & Field Office communication, reporting.
6.    Develop a suitable plan, follow up the progress of its implementation in the field and provide reports to the senior management.
7.    Ensure the integration of activities and avoiding gutter resources and rationalize the usage.
8.    Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the field.
9.    Develop urgent solutions and contingency plans for problems that may affect the progress of work.
10.    Full understanding of the humanitarian, covid and social situation in the target region
11.    Create a work plan and provide supervision and support to relevant project staff regarding the implementation of project.
12.    Represent LMMPO in the relevant meetings with the local authorities.
13.    Responsible of communication with the field staff regarding the daily affairs, monitoring and follow up with project implementation and raise clear view about activities.
14.    Responsible of compiling and sharing information regarding project implementation with the senior management of LMMPO and relevant departments.
15.    Responsible of reporting to the various of the project activities
16.    Prepare presentations and prepare reports for meetings with donors.
17.    Keep teams committed, motivated, and productive through the duration of the project.
18.    In addition to preparing the final reports. 
19.    Closing the project.
20.    Follow up the successes stories
21.    Carrying out any work assigned to him by the direct responsible for the project.

Qualifications and Skills 

Study and Training:

  • University Degree in management or relevant disciplines.
  • At 3 - 5 years in project management, preferably experience in NGOs and local NGOs.

Languages:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (Speaking and Writing). 

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural contexts.
  • Proven ability of using office project system.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation Analytical Skills.
  • Management skills. 
  • Team management and knowledge transfer.( Leadership skills).
