FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio economic situation in Yemen since 2012.
Project title: Enhancement and strengthening of case finding and case holding
Among TB and Leprosy Patients during Humanitarian Setting in Yemen.
Position: Monitoring and evaluation officer
Duty station: Aden with frequent travel to Adalea, Hadramout and Taiz.
Start date : immediately
Duration : 6 months
Overall responsibility :
The M&E Officer will be responsible for the monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that the health project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.
The M&E officer will assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly /Quarterly/final reports on project progress and will monitor the project activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining the MIS of the Project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:
•Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
•Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
•Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work.
•Conduct frequent field visits throughout the project implementation as required supporting and / or supervising the activities of the project.
•Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
•Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
•Monitor the sustainability of the project's results.
•Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
•Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project.
•Report monthly on all project activities to Project Manager;
•Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, final and other reports to Project
•Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation.
•Perform other duties as required.
•Assist the Project Manager in preparing other relevant reports.
•Assist Project Manager in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations.
•Prepare and maintain data base
Required Skills and Experience
University Degree preferably in medicine or related field.
•At least 2 years of experience in related field.
•Proven skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software.
•Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software;
•Strong training & facilitation skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
