The Role

We are looking for Partnership Officer, who will support in developing and driving an effort of inclusive partnership strengthening process. Supports the programme team in building and maintaining a balanced and multi-dimensional partnership portfolio. S/he will be the focal point for applying an efficient and effective civil society development approach to all Oxfam programming in Yemen.  S/he fosters professional relationships with civil society, NGOs and local institutions. He or S/he will, in collaboration with Programme and Support teams, will establish and ensure that partnerships are based on Oxfam partnership principles and mandatory processes S/he will review partnership relevance and assist in identifying new partners based on strategic priorities of Oxfam, identify organizational/institutional capacity gaps. S/he will also provide technical oversight to Oxfam staff and will work directly with national and local civil society organizations, with an emphasis on building the capacity of partners and will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with all partners in cooperation with relevant Programme staff

What we are looking for

Our next Partnership Officer will require to have 3 years experience in developing and managing partnerships amongst Civil Society Organisations, government, International NGOs. S/he should have an understanding of the socio-economic and political context and the vulnerability of the people in Yemen, in addition to demonstrated experience in mainstreaming gender, protection and diversity equity issues as well as a commitment to neutrality and impartiality.
