Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is looking for a Finance & Accounting Officer (national position):

Position: Finance & Accounting Officer
Location: Aden, Yemen with travels inside Yemen
Contract details: Permanent / Full-time–depending on the grant
Duration: A full time position with a probationary period of 3 months
Starting date: ASAP

The Polish Humanitarian Action’s (PAH) is an INGO with a mission to make the world a better place by promoting humanitarian values and alleviating human suffering caused by armed conflicts and natural disasters. About PAH Yemen Mission

Our Yemen Mission has been officially established in July 2019 and currently provides humanitarian assistance to 61,572 beneficiaries in Aden and Lahij Governorates in Yemen, as well as to Yemeni refugees in Markazi Refugee Camp in Djibouti. Our needs assessments for future interventions were recently conducted in Aden, Lahij, Ad Dahlee and Taizz Governorates in Yemen.

Position reports to: Head of Mission (HoM), with close cooperation with the Project Manager and the Finance Coordinator at the HQ.


  • Leading and overseeing all financial processes of the mission
  • Ensuring that all PAH financial regulations are fully respected and followed in all mission processes
  • Tracking and monitoring all external and internal financial operations
  • Managing the NAVISION accounting software, providing inputs on regular basis in coordination with HQ
  • Ensuring that all financial documentation is prepared on time
  • Monitoring spending of the mission and project budgets
  • Overseeing financial transactions with contractors and other project partners
  • Liaising with Finance and Accounting Teams at the HQ to ensure effective information flow
  • Liaising and maintaining good relations with all financial entities
  • Providing advice to the HoM and other team members on good financial practices
  • Producing financial reports as required by PAH internal regulations and donors
  • Ensuring that all employee payrolls are duly processed
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements: Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or other relevant field (a Master degree would be an asset)

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a financial management position in a humanitarian setting
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in working with NNGOs & INGOs


  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
