Job Description

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is looking for Enumerators  (national position):

  • Position: Enumerators
  • Location: (Aden and Al -Dhale Governorates )
  • Department: MEAL department
  • Report to : MEAL Assistant
  • Duration: ASAP – Daily paid

About PAH Yemen Mission 
PAH Yemen Mission has been officially established in July 2019 and currently provides humanitarian assistance in WASH and Health sectors. The key objective of our programme is to improve access to lifesaving health and WASH services at primary health level for 73,597 most vulnerable communities affected by conflict in Ad Dhale and Aden governorates. In addition, PAH office in Marib started operations focusing on education in emergencies, child protection and WASH.

Responsibilities:

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Attend enumerators’ training session.
  • Install the KoBo collect software on the smart phone.
  • Conduct survey with respondents.
  • Record responses as instructed.
  • Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful survey (face-to-face and phone surveys).
  • Ensure that enumerator checking is complete.
  • Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for.
  • Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the MEAL Assistant.
  • Other tasks, as assigned by the MEAL Assistant.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Good personal skills. Enumerators must be able to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds, and explain the survey to business owners/managers who are not familiar with the study.
  • Strong technology skills. Enumerators will use smartphone to locate respondents, responding by KoBo Collect app.
  • Attention to detail. Enumerators will be required to carefully follow instructions relating to the selection of respondents and recording of responses.
  • Available to work full-time 5 days of the week during survey.
  • Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Able to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Reading skills for following instructions.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum diploma degree, preferred bachelor degree.
  • Have worked in a humanitarian field with INGO/NNGO before.
