Working under the overall supervision of the WASH Officer and the direct supervision of the Senior Program Assistant (WASH), will support the community mobilization and hygiene promotion activities that IOM will implement to guarantee the sustainability of its Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) interventions.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team in community mobilizer and hygiene promotion activities as required.
  2. Support the team in better understanding the importance community mobilizer and hygiene promotor’s activities.
  3. Support the team in ensuring adherence to IOM hygiene promotion technical guidelines and donor requirements in specific projects.
  4. Support in conducting hygiene promotion related assessments including PDM, KAP etc. in coordination with M&E department.
  5. Ensure an effective and active communication with all the relevant stakeholders. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Program Assistant indicating progress, constrains and requirements for completion in the various projects.
  6. Compile hygiene promotion data from Hygiene Promotors and share with relevant teams.
  7. Any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience


  • University Degree/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a profession related to WASH


  • Minimum 02 years’ experience in Hygiene Promotion and Community Response in humanitarian context.


English and Arabic
