Job Description

OPE OF ROLE:

Reports toHR Officer

Reporting to N/A

Budget responsibilityN/A

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Ensure that personnel files are completed, updated and scanned as per Save the Children HR filing system.
  • Ensure adding new joiners to the health insurance system and issuing them Medical Ids, processing medical claims and any needed support
  • Ensure that leave tracker is updated on a regular basis and leave balances are shared to all staff in order to plan the leaves
  • Monitor staff attendance and ensure that all area staff timesheets are submitted correctly matching the salary analysis codes.
  • Ensure all staff contract extensions are in place, notice letters served by end of grants, updating the north contract extension tracker.
  • Maintain & ensure the HRIS, staff, volunteers data base reports are shared with HR Coordinator.
  • Assist in conducting recruitments, communicating candidates and scheduling for tests and interviews.
  • Ensure maintaining support to HR team in north in collecting, validating and sending needed signatures to CO.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safety of all personnel and recruitment documents.
  • Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to CSG, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.
  • Other duties that may from time to time be requested by line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree preferably in management.
  • HR experience.
  • At least one year INGO experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows OS.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • High integrity and the ability to work with confidential information.
  • The ability to multi-task and deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
