It has presence in 14 Governorates in Yemen responding to all areas of humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, child protection, education, women's protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, and livelihoods programming. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

SUMMARY:
The Reporting Assistant will be responsible to support the reporting officer in compiling the first draft of the program reports including but not limited to: monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and final reports. Additionally, the reporting assistant will provide support in terms of following up with sectors’ representatives to catch deadlines of reports, presentations and plans submission. Below are the details of the reporting assistant responsibilities: 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Reporting Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Follow up with sectors’ representatives to ensure the submission of their reports to produce quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and final reports, and assist the reporting officer during the compiling and review process to apply all comments and inputs provided by reviewers.
  • Prepare the first draft of the monthly report and submit it to the reporting officer.
  • Ensure that all updates of activities are provided in the report including indicators updates compared to the target.
  • Coordinate meetings with sectors’ representatives to share the updated reporting templates and provide clarification needed to fully apply the new templates.
  • Compile the weekly update and plan of the team and share them with the reporting officer.
  • Assist the reporting officer during the preparation of presentations be used while meetings with the donor, partners, technical team.etc.  
  • Assist in updating the reporting file archive.
  • Following up with the MEAL team and program team to track new program lessons learned to be documented. 
  • Provide support for the Media team when preparing success stories.
  • With coordination with the Media team, ensure photos/videos of activities are archived and sorted properly to be used by the program team when needed. 
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Direct Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, social sciences, international relations, communications, or any other related fields. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Reporting Assistant Position (preferable in Humanitarian NGOs).
  • English and Arabic Languages (Writing and speaking) are required.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Organizational skills and ability to deliver reports according to strict donor requirements.
  • Reporting Skills are Required.
  • Personal qualities: self-motivated, enthusiastic, professional, and understands and believes in humanitarian principles.
  • Committed, responsible, and able to learn.
  • Extremely flexible and have the ability to cope with a stressful environment.
