Position Description
UG activities are centred around providing services to clients and customers. UG thrives for a strong integration of all its activities to position the company name more effectively in the market. As part of UG’s Marketing team (content specialist, e-marketing specialist, PR specialist, consultants), UG is seeking a new team member to lead/assist in developing content to deliver on the communication activities of the multiple companies in the group. This is a full-time position, based in Sana’a, at the Universal Group main office.
Responsibilities
- Understand the targeted audience for each company within the group.
- Collaborate with other departments and companies within the group to create content in both languages (Arabic & English).
- Conduct meetings with marketing specials from the different UG companies to collect material on the type of content that can be created for internal and external dissemination.
- Provide various translation work for marketing departments in UG companies.
- Produce a 100% accurate translation of English text to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring quality proofreading of all submissions.
- Edit, proofread, and ensure translations of technical terms and terminology are accurate throughout translation revisions.
- Provide 'quick sight' verbal translation of documents in both languages (Arabic & English).
- Regularly update local terminologies, to ensure accuracy, consistency and neutrality.
- Report any work-related issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties when needed.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Translation or related field.
- Three years or more of relevant translation /interpretation experience.
- Excellent skills in English and Arabic both speaking and writing.
- Excellent listening skills, verbal and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team work spirit.
- Have attention to detail, consistency and accuracy in work.
