Médecins Sans Frontières France is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit in the surgical centre in Alsalam Hospital –Khamer, Amran governorate for the following position:

LICENSED OBSTETRICIAN-GYNAECOLOGIST - FEMALE
Location:
Based in Khamer.
Length of the contract: Four (4) months
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract
 Reports to: Medical Activity Manager

To provide support to the project medical team by giving specialized consultation, autonomous clinical and surgical management of obstetric and gynecological patients and to improve and reinforce the quality of obstetrics and gynecology care according to MSF standards. 
    
Perform gynecological and obstetric procedures and any other prior treatment required, during or immediately after a woman has given birth in order to improve women’s reproductive health and to reduce antepartum, pre and postpartum complications. This will be done in accordance with MSF policies, protocols and universal hygiene standards and in multidisciplinary collaboration with other medical, surgical and midwifery team members in the hospital.

Main Job Duties:

  • Support the Midwife Activity Manager in managing the clinical activities.
  • Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures and supervise his/her team to follow the same standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her specialty.
  • Perform gynaecological and obstetric procedures and any other prior treatment required.
  • Assess the training needs for the national midwives and provide theoretical and clinical training in cooperation with the Midwife Activity Manager.
  • Carry-out information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.

 Qualification and Skill Requirements:

  • Valid diploma and professional license.
  • Minimum 2 years of practicing. 
  • Ability to make accurate clinical observations, support and advice.   
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to humanitarian objectives.
  • High motivation, flexibility, and team collaboration.
  • Experience with another humanitarian organization is an asset.
