Position:         Medical Compliance Officer

Location:       Aden, Hodiedah and Saada/Hajjah

Reports to:     MEAL Coordinator

Duration:   Till December 31, 2021, renewable based on fund availability & performance

It has presence in 14 Governorates in Yemen responding to all areas of humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, child protection, education, women's protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, and livelihoods programming. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

SUMMARY:

The Medical compliance Officer is responsible for field work compliances in between health workers mainly incentives, health facilities managers, and project/projects Coordinators/ field officers, in his area of assignment through supervision, technical oversight and coordination with other work concerned members and relevant agencies.

Responsibilities:

The Medical Compliance Officer will be responsible but not limited to:

  • The Medical compliance officer in cooperation and coordination with the health/nutrition officer and field Coordinator, and health facilities managers will be responsible for development of the health facilities medical compliance . Then the medical compliance officer with H/N officer and field Coordinator will draft the formal medical compliance documents.
  • The Medical compliance officer will review all relevant medical documents, performance, and wide integrations and review all areas of possible noncompliance within the health facilities for working with H/N nutrition officer, field Coordinator, and health facilities managers on it's compliance.
  • The Medical compliance officer in cooperation and working with health facilities managers will distribute the written documentation of the work compliance to the Incentives employees aiming to perfect work performance and arrangements.
  • The Medical compliance officer will be responsible for reviewing, updating and follow up of the project incentives workers(attendance, time sheets, performance...ect) , and working with H/N officer, field Coordinator, and health facilities managers for any changes/ replacements in the incentives employees .
  • The compliance officer in coordination with the H/N officer and field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, and achievement's the necessary training courses for all members of the healthcare, aiming to more capacity building for providing high quality medical services to the beneficiaries .
  • The Medical compliance officer will work with field Coordinator and health/Nutrition officer, health facilities managers for setting up the technical work needs including primary health care, secondary health care specifically BEMonC/CEMonC and referral system mechanism.
  • The Medical compliance officer in cooperation with H/N officer will be responsible for the medical follow up of the referred cases which has been admitted in the governorate related hospitals.
  • The Medical compliance officer will participate with H/N officer, field Coordinator, MEAL team and health facilities managers  in initiate and/or coordinate corrective and preventive action for areas of noncompliance as identified in the reporting system.
  • The Medical compliance officer  will be responsible for following up patients files for ensuring it's doing accurately and working with other health team members for it's designing and filling perfectly .
  • Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities required and requested by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Medical degree (Bachelor and above in Medical aspects including " Midwifery, nursing, medical assistance, ....etc") qualified Midwifes highly encourage to apply.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in health/ malnutrition activities arrangements and supervision including BEMonC and CEMonC centers.
  • Valid Medical License
  • Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
  • Good practical skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Communication skills, compassion and a good bedside manner
  • Ability to work in very rural and remote areas under work pressures circumstances.
