Health & Protection Assistant
Report to: GBV Reporting & IMS Officer
Duration:10 Months
Duty Station: Taiz ( Almudhafar)
JOB PURPOSE:
The organization is implementing Integrated Health and Protection intervention in Taiz. Therefore; we are seeking potential Health & Protection Assistant to support the implementation and reporting.
S/he will be hired based in Tazi and ensure the meaningful access of all beneficiaries in women and girls safe space and health facilities ensuring safety, the dignity of the vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, elder persons and disabled..etc. S/he will provide special assistance to those who most need a separate distribution counter, assistance for carrying the aid home. He/she will ensure compliance with the Core Humanitarian Standards, Principles, and Accountability to the affected population. facilitate the implementation of on-job training courses, follow up the daily work of IPC and management medical waste, and raise the monthly reports to the GBV Reporting & IMS Office. S/he will be responsible for ensuring integration between health and Protection (GBV) components"
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Responsibility:
- Participate in identifying needs and feedback to the GBV Reporting & IMS Office.
- Assist in activities planning alongside the project referring to a set work plan and SOPs..
- Collect and analyze project data including preparation of graphs and visual data from field teams.
- Assist the GBV Reporting & IMS Office in following up the activities at field level are in accordance with the plans.
- Assist in budget tracking and ensure that the teams requirements are based on the available sources and budget.
- Maintain safe and easy archiving mechanism of all project documents.
- Provide the GBV Reporting & IMS Office with all data and updated information daily, weekly, monthly, and when needed.
- Handle requests for information and data related to the assigned project.
- Support all project daily administrative activities.
- Support the circulation of relevant information, reports, memos and any other related document as well as with the partners and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular follow-up with the project beneficiaries.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and workshops related to project activities.
- Attend meetings of the project partners and stakeholders where appropriate.
- Perform assigned related task by the supervisor and project management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
PERSON SPECIFICATION
A) EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required:
- Bachelor Degree in psychology, social sciences, public health, nursing required.
B) EXPERIENCE
- A 3-year experience in the field of Humanitarian intervention.
Required:
Professional Qualifications
- Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues, communities and beneficiaries, government officials, local organizations and other stakeholders.
- English-language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Good writing and reporting skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point).
