ACTED has been present in Yemen since early 2012 and has been anchored to the governorates of Ibb, Hudaydah, Raymah, AlDhalee, Saadah, AlJawf, Aden, Dhamar and Marib.

Through its comprehensive programming ACTED has been covering the full continuum of emergency, rehabilitation and development in Yemen. Emergency activities have focused in the sectors of Agriculture & Food Security (e.g. distribution of crop seeds, and livestock), Economic Recovery and Market Systems (e.g. income-generating activities such as cash for work), and WASH (e.g. rehabilitation of water supply facilities, hygiene promotion). ACTED’s food security activities include distribution of food vouchers, which are a key component of ACTED’s interventions in the country.

ACTED Organization is pleased to announce the below job vacancy with the following details:

Position: Livelihood &Information Management (Livelihood/IM) Project Assistant

Department: program

Location: Aldhalee

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Contract Duration:  6 months

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry with necessary validation queries in place.
  • Check source documents for accuracy;
  • Assist CCY/MEAL in train monitors/enumerators and obtain further information for incomplete data from the monitors/enumerators;
  • Maintain clean and up to date datasets/databases while removing unnecessary and duplicate datasets;
  • Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required;
  • Enter data efficiently from source documents into prescribed computer database, files, and forms completely and accurately;
  • Recording data into required electronic format.
  • On daily basis, assist CCY /MEAL team in verifying the accuracy of data collected during any data collection exercises and validate by reviewing, modifying, analysing, and interpreting data and information, identifying problems/issues to prepare recommendations and correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and flag them out to the CCY team (MPCA and MSME);
  • Identify and Assist program teams (MPCA and MSME POs/MEAL) in the technical application of the database in instances where the data entry is undertaken by program staff, as well in case of any technical difficulties or questions regarding the database and IM in general with CCY IM for both MPCA and MSME;
  • Assist in the coordination process of program staff to support all information management, monitoring, and tracking related to MPCA/MSMEs implementation up to date;
  • Assist in creating all needed implementation documents related to MPCA and MSME (e.g. Distribution sheets, training attending sheets... etc);
  • Assist in tracking and linking MPCA and MSME data of MSME-targeted HHs through the implementation period;
  • Store completed documents in designated locations;
  • Respond to requests for information and access to relevant files;
  • Facilitating reporting through creating queries for easy production of charts, figures, and reports from the dataset, soft archiving, and support to other data collection and data entry needs;
  • Comply with data-standards for data integrity and security policies;
  • Any other assigned tasks.

Job Requirement (Qualification and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in in information management, statistics, IT, business informatics, computer science, geography, cartography or other related fields;
  • Minimum 2 years experiences in the development, implementation, and execution of information management strategies and database management;
  • Good command of English;
  • Strong communication and reporting skills;
  • The ability to adapt the provided training to work interest and work on self-development.
