Education Supervisors (3) 2022-2023

The Job

Location: (Hodeida\ Bajil) with regular travel to other sites
Period: 14 months, renewable subject to performance.
Duty Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Sana'a –Yemen.
Terms: Full Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to the work sites.
Classification: Programs & projects Management.

Expected start Date: 18 of Dec. 2022.

Job grade: - Fourth degree.

Purpose/Scope of the task

The EiE Project Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the field implementation of EiE project activities in close coordination with local authorities, IDPs, affected host communities and other project components. The purpose of the project is to provide continuous access to high-quality preventive education services for conflict-affected and displaced school-age girls and boys in Bajil District, Al Hudaydah Governorate.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Main Tasks 

  • Daily supervision of the tasks of the work team at the project site.
  • Supervising the collection and preservation of data and exchanging information with the project manager and officer for decision-making.
  • Supervise the monitoring of the implementation of the plans of the field work team working directly and technical specialists, through regular visits to the sites of project activities (temporary learning places).
  • Supervise the submission of monthly reports.
  • Supervise ensuring the integration of activities with other project components, avoiding gutter resources and rationalizing their use.
  • Oversee the organization of regular and ad-hoc project meetings with project staff in the field, community committees and other staff of the project components.
  • Oversee the coordination between relevant stakeholders in the field, including government agencies and humanitarian actors within the project sites/sites.
  • Supervise the daily monitoring and supervision visits to the project sites and report any deviation to the project manager with recommendations/proposed solutions.
  • Oversee the representation of LMMPO in meetings with donors, the Education Cluster and other relevant meetings with local authorities and education offices at the provincial and district levels alongside the Project Manager or in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Supervise maintaining good communication with the relevant authorities and organizing joint visits.
  • Oversee the provision of technical guidance to the education team, ensuring quality results.
  • Supervising the conduct of supervision, guidance and training courses for the field team on various educational and protection concepts.
  • Supervising the collection and exchange of information related to project implementation with the project manager.
  • Overseeing and assisting in reporting the progress of project implementation/services provided to various groups on project activities on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee keeping the project team engaged, motivated, and productive throughout the duration of the project.
  • Oversee ensuring that humanitarian principles are observed and monitored and that mainstreaming protection is taken into consideration during project planning and implementation.
  • In addition to preparing final reports.
  • Closing the project.
  • Carry out any work assigned to him by the direct supervisor of the project.

Qualifications and Skills

Study and Training:

  • University Degree in Education management or social sciences or relevant disciplines.
  • At 2 - 3 years in project management, preferably experience in NGOs and local NGOs.
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience in education projects as an Education Project Manager
  • Experience with project management cycle, budgets, and donor requirements
  • Previous experience in a humanitarian setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and representative skills (written, oral, cross - cultural)
  • Experience working with governments, UN bodies, INGOs and local NGOs
  • Experience in donor relation
  • Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work
  • Ability to adapt, change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organization
  • Ability to work within a fluid situation (changes within the team, location of programs, etc.)
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
  • Ability to deal with relations with local authorities as a representative of LMMPO.
  • Ability to manage local staff in a mature and impartial manner
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of LMMPO. 


  • Fluent in Arabic & Good (Speaking & reading& Writing) English language.
