INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance

Job Description

Under the direction of the Operations Coordinator, the Operations Officer is responsible to provide overall follow up of daily operations in Yemen, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • ·      Work closely with the operations staff members in various bases to ensure that procurement processes are carried out according to the organization's policy and donor’s regulations and within the required time.
  • ·      Ensure that all procurement documents are correct, complete, accountable, and transparent before payment.
  • ·      Ensure the electronic and physical archiving of the entire operations in a correct and clear way.
  • ·      Ensure that the procurement Follow Up files for all bases are up to date.
  • ·      Work with the Operations Coordinator to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • ·      Follow the movement of shipments and ensure the safety of shipping and storage.
  • ·      Responsible for receiving and reviewing the monthly Logistical reports (warehouses, assets, generators, fleet ...), and consolidating the reports for all bases.
  • ·      Reports any critical physical or psychological concerns of the employees who cooperate with them.
  • ·      Complete other activities as directed by the "Operations Coordinator" in a cooperative spirit and a good way.·

Ability to:

  • ·      Understand of Finance management as a whole.
  • ·      Ability to work under pressure and work extra time if needed.
  • ·      Hands-on attitude and willingness to help out flexibly if required.
  • ·      Organizing and archiving files and documents.
  • ·      To show commitment to the mission of IRVD as an organization.
  • ·      To demonstrate commitment to high professional, and ethical standards and a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

  • ·      Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or any other related field.
  • ·      General Work Experience: Preferably 3-4 years of experience in Operations/Procurement/ Finance/ compliance/audit management within national or international NGOs.
  • ·      Excellent in Microsoft backage.

Languages:

  • ·      Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
