Action Contre la Faim currently operates in 46 countries globally and conduct programs in nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation.

Finance Administrator/Manager

Location: Sana’a

Duration: 6 Months renewable

Assignment: Ensure sound financial management of the RRM Consortium according to the procedures and within the framework defined with the partners

Providing accounting services

The Finance Manager - Consortium is responsible for:

  • Disseminating information about the accounting procedures and ensuring that the Consortium team and partners respects these procedures
  • Ensuring the comprehensiveness and precision of entries and the correct budgetary charging of expenses
  • Ensuring the correctness of cash forecast for all partners
  • timely forwarding of accounting information

2. Leading financial and budgetary management of the Consortium

The Finance Manager - Consortium is responsible for:

  • promulgation of and compliance with the financial rules of the funding body
  • providing all necessary components for the establishment of the budget and for feedback to the partners and funding body (forecasting, follow up, audits, financial reports)
  • cost analysis and issuing budgetary alerts to the Head of Finance Department when necessary
  • warning the Head of Finance Department of financial risks
  • consolidating needs and costs in the financing plan

3-  Setting in place and following up financial collaboration and coordination with the partners

The Finance Manager - Consortium is responsible for:

  • analysing the financial risks involved and formulating recommendations
  • implementing and monitoring the modes of financial management in the framework
  • establishing with the partners the financial and budgetary aspects
  • ensuring that the undertakings of ACF and its partners on financial and budgetary matters are respected

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field;
  • Several years of experience in a finance role;
  • Solid communication in English skills, both written and verbal;
  • Organizational, planning, mathematical, analytical and critical skills;
  • Results-oriented and process-driven;
  • Superior attention to detail;
  • Computer skills: advanced command of Excel;
  • Integrity, honesty, and overall good attitude and team spirit;
  • Experience in an INGO and familiarity with the humanitarian principles can be an asset.
