Requirements for the position

Education:    

•    Essential midwifery bachelor qualification degree for four years after secondary school or 3 years diploma as legal midwife after secondary school. 
•    Work permit valid from Sana’a medical council.

Experience:    

•    Preferable work experience of two years in midwife activities related jobs. 
•    Experience in MSF Maternity desirable   

Languages:    

•    Local language essential (Arabic). Mission language desirable (English)

Description

• Place of work: Abs District, Hajja Governorate, Republic of Yemen
• Level:    6
• Duration:    Until end of 2021 with possibility of extension.
• Salary: Based on the organization scale

Main objectives

Provide obstetrical care to pregnant women and their babies, doing follow up before, during and after delivery, according to MSF obstetrical and reproductive health protocols, universal hygienic and new-borns caring standards and under supervision in order to ensure their health conditions and avoid post-delivery complications.         
Main responsibilities and tasks    

Tasks include:

•    Ensure the implementation and continuity of postnatal care and obstetrical care (BEmONC 1 and CEmONC 2), neonatal and comprehensive abortion care, management of victims of sexual violence, reproductive tract infections and  in accordance with MSF Reproductive Core Package of Activities and reinforce the implementation of standardised protocols. 
•    Identifies when vaginal deliveries are not indicated to inform MW Supervisor and prepare the patient for C-Section.
•    Identifies complications, knows how to respond and informs MW Supervisor.

Reporting:

•    Reports hierarchically to the midwife supervisor and functionally to midwife supervisor and the midwife activity manager
•    Fills in properly all the registers, partograms, patient files, 
•    Collect daily,  weekly and monthly statistics on the SRH service activities when requested
•    Ensures relevant transfer of information to the next duty team (especially the identification of at risk cases)
•    Report immediately to the MW Supervisor any problem arising for patients in the service as well as the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines.
Hygiene
•    Respects rules of hygiene for the protection of patients and staff 
•    Knows accidental blood exposure policy and procedure, and implements when necessary.
•    Ensure hygiene and sterilization criteria (including universal precautions) are met according to MSF specifications.  
•    Collaborate with the medical doctor and /or nurse/Midwife Supervisor in the management of Sexual Violence cases 
•    Works in collaboration with other wards and departments staff (OT, IPD, laboratory)
•     Properly follow up all newborn babies from delivery until discharge, informing mothers and relatives about importance of breast feeding, vaccination and possible complications resulting from harmful traditional practices.

التعليم
•    مطلوب بشكل أساسي وجود شهادة بكالوريوس قباله لمدة 4 سنوات او شهاده قابله قانونية دبلوم لمدة 3 سنوات بعد ثالث ثانوي
•    مزاولة مهنة سارية المفعول وصادرة من المجلس الطبي بصنعاء

الخبرة    

•    يفضل سنتين خبره في عمل القبالة 
•    وخبره مع اطباء بلا حدود في قسم الولادة مرغوب فيه.

اللغات    

•    العربية ويفضل الإنجليزية إلى جانب اللغة العربية.

الأهداف الرئيسية
توفير رعاية التوليد للنساء الحوامل وأطفالهن، والقيام بالمتابعة ما قبل الولادة وإثناءها وبعدها، وفقًا لبروتوكولات الصحة الإنجابية والتناسلية لمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود ، ومعايير الرعاية الصحية الشاملة والمواليد الجدد وتحت الإشراف من أجل ضمان ظروفهم الصحية وتجنب مضاعفات ما بعد الولادة.

المسؤوليات والمهام الرئيسية           

تشمل المهام:
• ضمان تنفيذ واستمرارية رعاية ما بعد الولادة ورعاية التوليد (BEmONC 1 and CEmONC 2)، )رعاية التوليد الشاملة في حالات الطوارئ وحديثي الولادة2  و رعاية التوليد وحديثي الولادة الأساسية في حالات الطوارئ (1 ورعاية حديثي الولادة والإجهاض الشامل، وإدارة ضحايا العنف الجنسي، والتهابات الجهاز التناسلي وفقًا لحزمة الأنشطة التكاثرية الأساسية لمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود ، وتعزيز تنفيذ البروتوكولات الموحدة.
• تحديد موعد ما اذا كانت مؤشرات الولادات المهبلية غير ممكنة لإبلاغ المشرفة وتحضير المريضة لعملية قيصرية..
• تحديد المضاعفات، ومعرفة كيفية الاستجابة وإبلاغ مشرفة قسم التوليد.

التقارير:
•  الرفع بالتقارير حسب السلم الهرمي إلى مشرفة القابلات ووظيفيا لمشرفة القابلة ومديرة نشاط القابلات
• تعبئة جميع السجلات ، والبارتوجراف partograms ، وملفات المريضة بشكل صحيح.
• جمع إحصاءات يومية وأسبوعية وشهرية عن أنشطة خدمة الصحة الإنجابية عند الطلب.
• ضمان نقل المعلومات ذات الصلة إلى فريق المناوبة التالية (وخاصة تحديد الحالات المعرضة للخطر)
• إبلاغ المشرفة على الفور عن أي مشكلة تنشأ للمرضى في الخدمة وكذلك فقدان / سرقة / تلف المعدات الطبية أو الأدوية.

النظافة
• احترام قواعد النظافة لحماية المرضى والموظفين
• معرفة سياسة وإجراءات التعرض للدم، وينفذ عند الضرورة.
• ضمان استيفاء معايير النظافة والتعقيم (بما في ذلك الاحتياطات العالمية) وفقًا لمواصفات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود.
• التعاون مع الطبيب الطبي و / أو الممرضة / مشرفة القابلات في إدارة حالات العنف الجنسي
• العمل بالتعاون مع الأقسام الأخرى وموظفي ادارات (العملياتOT ، الرقود IPD ، المختبر)
• متابعة جميع الأطفال حديثي الولادة بشكل صحيح من الولادة وحتى الخروج، وإبلاغ الأمهات والأقارب بأهمية الرضاعة الطبيعية والتطعيم والمضاعفات المحتملة الناتجة عن الممارسات التقليدية الضارة.
