Action Contre la Faim currently operates in 46 countries globally and conduct programs in nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation.

Finance Manager

Department: Finance

Location: Al Khokha – Base opening

Duration: 6 months renewable


Provide accounting services for the base

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • disseminating information about the accounting procedures of the base and ensuring that these procedures are respected
  • the comprehensiveness and precision of entries and the correct budgetary charging of expenses
  • the correctness of cash stocks and bank accounts
  • timely forwarding of accounting information to the capital

Managing cash

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • implementing the Cash Management procedures on the base and ensuring they are respected
  • the availability and safe keeping of the necessary cash
  • authorising and making payment for purchases falling within the monthly forecast of his/her base

 Leading financial management of the base

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • consolidating needs and costs in the base financing plan
  • warning the Head of Finance Department and Field Coordinator of financial risks

Setting in place and following up financial collaboration and coordination with mission partners

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • analysing the financial risks involved and formulating recommendations concerning the selection of partners
  • implementing and monitoring the modes of financial management in the framework of joint projects
  • establishing with the partner the financial and budgetary aspects of partnership conventions and agreements
  • ensuring that the undertakings of ACF and its partners on financial and budgetary matters are respected
  • playing a role in consolidating the capacities of partners where a need is identified
  • taking full advantage at base level of all innovative practices in the field of financial and budgetary management in partnerships

Manage the Finance team in the base

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • the day-to-day management of his/her team (guidance, follow-up, motivation…)
  • evaluating the performance and developing the skills of his/her team members



  • Advanced degree in Finance, Administration or a related field;

Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience in an Finance role;
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor/Manager is an asset;
  • Solid communication in English and Arabic, both written and verbal;
  • Organizational, planning, analytical and critical skills;
  • Results-oriented and process-driven;
  • Superior attention to detail;
  • Computer skills: advanced command of Word and Excel;
  • Integrity, honesty, and overall good attitude and team spirit;
  • Experience in an INGO and familiarity with the humanitarian principles is an asset.


  • Level of the position: Managerial.
  • Basic salary in accordance with our National Salary grid.
  • Transportation allowance
  • Eid bonus: a full basic salary per year
