Research Analyst Position:

An economic consultancy office announces, as soon as possible, the existence of a vacancy:

Responsibilities: The Research Analyst will lead and assist in the following:

• preparation of weekly and monthly macroeconomic briefs.
• Support and participate in research projects.
• monitoring economic developments and updating data.
• carrying out data collection and analysis using advanced research tools
• stand-alone research and policy papers in the area of development, macroeconomics, and innovation.
• organizing workshops and events

Selection Criteria (COMPETENCIES):

• Written and Verbal Communication - Demonstrates the ability to influence and persuade others to accept ideas and suggestions, articulating ideas verbally and in writing in a clear and compelling way across audiences of varied levels.  
• General Analytical Skills - Possesses Yemen knowledge in economic specialty and demonstrates ability to link the macro, institutional, and micro-level behaviors; able to provide credible analysis and tools.  
• Macroeconomic Skills and Experience - Able to translate technical analyses of macroeconomic, debt, trade, fiscal policy, and growth linkages into policy recommendations and cross-country lessons; Translates technical and country knowledge into practical contributions to country and sector development strategies.  
• Integrative Skills - Understands relevant cross-sectoral areas how they are interrelated; able to undertake cross-sectoral research work.  
• Drive for Results - Identifies the needed resources to accomplish results involving multiple tasks and finds solutions to obstacles affecting key deliverables. 
• Teamwork (Collaboration) and Inclusion - Shows competency and support in ensuring the team stays organized and focused, and actively seeks and considers diverse ideas and approaches.  
• Business Judgment and Analytical Decision Making - Gathers inputs, assesses risk, considers impact and articulates benefits of business decisions over the long term.

Other selection criteria include:

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Economics, social science or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven record of personal integrity and honesty.  
• Proven technical and operational skills.  
• Proven sense of initiative, results orientation as well as effective teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of English would be a plus.

Term: The contract will cover a period of 6-12 months with the possibility of extending into longer duration. The successful candidate will be based in the firm’s office in Sana’a. 

Compensation: The firm offers competitive remuneration rates. The successful candidate will be paid according to education and previous experience.

معايير الاختيار (الكفاءات):

• التواصل الكتابي والشفهي - يوضح القدرة على التأثير وإقناع الآخرين بقبول الأفكار والاقتراحات ، والتعبير عن الأفكار شفهياً وكتابياً بطريقة واضحة ومقنعة عبر جماهير متنوعة المستويات.
• المهارات التحليلية العامة - يمتلك المعرفة اليمنية في التخصص الاقتصادي ويظهر القدرة على ربط السلوكيات الكلية والمؤسسية والجزئية ؛ قادرة على تقديم تحليلات وأدوات موثوقة.
• مهارات وخبرات الاقتصاد الكلي - قادر على ترجمة التحليلات الفنية للاقتصاد الكلي والديون والتجارة والسياسة المالية وروابط النمو إلى توصيات سياسية ودروس عبر البلدان ؛ يترجم المعرفة التقنية والقطرية إلى مساهمات عملية في استراتيجيات تنمية الدولة والقطاع.
• المهارات التكاملية - فهم المجالات المشتركة بين القطاعات ذات الصلة وكيفية ارتباطها ببعضها البعض ؛ قادرة على القيام بعمل بحثي شامل لعدة قطاعات.
• الدافع لتحقيق النتائج - يحدد الموارد اللازمة لتحقيق النتائج التي تنطوي على مهام متعددة وإيجاد حلول للعقبات التي تؤثر على الإنجازات الرئيسية.
• العمل الجماعي (التعاون) والشمول - يُظهر الكفاءة والدعم في ضمان بقاء الفريق منظمًا ومركّزًا ، ويسعى بنشاط ويأخذ في الاعتبار الأفكار والنهج المتنوعة.
• حكم الأعمال واتخاذ القرارات التحليلية - يجمع المدخلات ويقيم المخاطر ويأخذ في الاعتبار التأثير ويوضح فوائد القرارات التجارية على المدى الطويل.

تشمل معايير الاختيار الأخرى ما يلي:

• درجة البكالوريوس على الأقل في الاقتصاد أو العلوم الاجتماعية أو المجالات ذات الصلة مع خبرة عمل ذات صلة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات.
• سجل مثبت من النزاهة الشخصية والصدق.
• ثبت المهارات الفنية والتشغيلية.
• إثبات روح المبادرة ، والتوجه نحو النتائج ، فضلا عن مهارات العمل الجماعي الفعال.
• معرفة اللغة الإنجليزية ستكون ميزة إضافية.
• المدة: سيغطي العقد فترة تتراوح من 6 إلى 12 شهرًا مع إمكانية تمديدها لمدة أطول. المرشح الناجح سيكون مقره في مكتب الشركة في صنعاء.
• التعويض: تقدم الشركة معدلات مكافآت تنافسية. سيتم الدفع للمرشح الناجح وفقًا للتعليم والخبرة السابقة.
