Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

SUMMARY:

The Gyn and Obstetrician will be concern about providing all reproductive health for beneficiaries including caesarian sections and all delivery related services.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The “Gynecologist and Obstetrician will be responsible but not limited to:

  1. Carry out emergency and programmed surgical interventions for Obstructed labour cases and other pregnant women’s needed cesarean intervention for any reasons.
  2. Ensuring appropriate use of surgical equipment’s and proper O.T registry, entry\documentation of all O.T interventions.
  3. Deliver all other services for pregnant women’s including appropriate anti & Post Natal care , Abortions cases dealing including D&C and related procedures.
  4. Apropriate pre&Post operative care and follow up, for all surgical intervention cases, including (antibiotic prophylaxis ,post-operative pain management, thrombo- prophylaxis is, blood transfusion etc…)
  5. Undertake pre-operative consultations, evaluating the surgical risks with the anesthetist and \ or other medical staff involved and obtaining the patient’s signed consent to operate.
  6. In collaboration with the anesthetist, carry out the collection and analysis of quantities surgical -anesthesia data, using post operative observation sheets, routine data collected ,patient files, operation department registered.. to monitor quality of services delivered for the beneficiaries.
  7. Plan ,evaluate and supervise the training of the assistances staff ( O.T staff, emergency, and admission ward staff , in order to improve the knowledge required for excellent services providing.
  8. Participates in daily rounds including charting  plan for patient in the appropriate files for admitted cases.
  9. Must be willing to see patients in E.R even non-surgical patients(gynecology cases) and to supervise Outpatient clinic for Gynecology& Obstetric cases Treatment and follow up.                           

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Master degree in Gynae and Obstetric
  • Arabic board in Gynae and Obstetric will be preferred.
  • At least 2 years  experience in this aspect
  • Work in rural area will be preferred.
  • Female candidate will be preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solving skills.
  • Honest, hardworking and committed to the organization .
