Background (information about the organization/unit/section)

Crest Point for Consultancy and Development, established in 2018, is an independent international company that aims to bring about data-driven, lasting, and sustainable developments for clients, partners, and communities, thus ensuring a more accountable and evidence-based programming. CPCD is currently operating in the Middle East: Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and Jordan in addition to North Africa: Libya, Sudan, Egypt, and other countries.

We are a consulting company that provides TPM, Research and Assessment, and Capacity Building Services throughout the MENA and North Africa regions. We have worked/are working with clients such as IOM-UN, DRC, Mercy Corps, JPF, SCI, Relief International, CARE, Welthungerhilfe, Médecins du Monde, Oxfam, GOAL International, Expertise France, Solidarités International, GOAL, Chemonics, Baytna, amongst many others.

CPCD aims to support its partners to develop their performance, increase their efficiency and enhance their transparency towards their communities and donors. We provide high quality services with skilled teams who work in complex and conflict environments. These teams help us design and implement services in line with the needs of our partners.

Objective (summary of the position)

In this role you will work with the M&E and implementation team to support the implementation of a country wide TPM contracts that CPCD is implementing. The short-term expert will work on short-term consultancy contracts to implement task orders related to the TPM assignments that CPCD will be leading.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support the TPM team in designing the tools and methodologies appropriate for the TPM missions.
  • Support with training provided for the field teams, who are responsible for the data collection, as needed.
  • Oversee and supervise data collection in coordination with M&E field coordinators, M&E managers and data analysts.
  • Conduct field visits to projects’ sites and locations implemented by the implementing entity and/or implementing partners.  
  • Collect high-level technical data from the field. Data to be transcribed and delivered in approved formats to the analyst and the M&ER Expert.
  • Ensure deliverables are submitted per the agreed timeline and formats.
  • Manage a cooperative and efficient partner relationship with the implementing entity and/or implementing partners on the ground.
  • Support in drafting TPM MEL analyses and reports.
  • Attend and provide briefing meetings to the contracting partner; provide written briefs and updates.
  • Support in field coordination and preparation of monitoring and verification field visits.
  • Coordinate with local authorities as needed to make sure field visits are conducted per plans and protocols.

Organizational structure (e.g., reporting to…)

You will be reporting to the MEL Expert and work closely with the field teams and operations teams

Candidate profile & qualifications

  •   Be a national Yemeni citizen preferably in any of the provinces in Yemen.
  •   Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  •   At least 5 years of experience in the areas selected (child protection, nutrition, health, education, cash, livelihood, WASH, etc.)
  •   Female candidates are highly encouraged.  
  •   Good English language skills (must)
  •   A relevant university degree (social sciences, M&E, development studies, etc.)
  •   Quick learner who accepts feedback and able to use a results-oriented approach.
  •   Demonstrate an understanding of development/ humanitarian sector.  
  •   Having a project manager expertise in one of the following sectors (child protection, nutrition, health, education, cash, livelihood, WASH, a PM) is highly encouraged.
  •   Excellent field management and coordination expertise
  •   Excellent skills with Word and Excel  
  •   Good research qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  •   Have an ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines
  •   Have particularly good organizational skills, analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail
  •   Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
