GBV Reporting & IMS Officer (3)

Report to: Project Manager 
Duration :9 Months 
Duty Station: Sana’a, Taiz 

Job description/ key responsibilities:

Typical Functions may include: 

  • She/he will manage the team there and ensure the smooth running of program in close coordination with other GBV/Protection actors. She/he will ensure that survivor centered approach is adhered to and GBV survivors and other vulnerable women and girls receive prompt and comprehensive services.
  • Oversee case management including follow up on referrals and action plans, and support services provided to GBV survivors, ensuring that the survivors receive the minimum package.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to Initiate planning for longer-term GBV prevention and response activities, including referral pathway and standard operating procedures.
  • Closely work with case workers, outreach workers etc. to ensure that best practices are respected and international standards are met in responding and preventing GBV.
  • Participate in capacity building initiatives for staff, partners and other stakeholders to ensure quality and comprehensive delivery of project activities.
  • Facilitate the setting up and functional safe spaces for women and girls and supervise all safe space activities and community outreaches.
  • Conduct monitoring of program activities and ensure standards are followed, ensuring coordination with M&E department and M&E field assistant.
  • Oversee the case management of the program and supervise case workers to implement effectively
  • Ensure integration through strengthen referral pathways and assure provide teamin the field with updated service mapping.
  • Draft successes stories and human-interest stories, quotes, interviews, and designing IEC materials such as posters, banners, stands ...etc. Keep abreast of all developments in the activity to prepare appropriate reports, briefing and background notes, and other documentation as required.
  • Consolidate and analyze data on programme implementation and indicators (e.g. Protection, health, water and sanitation) in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports, i.e. Sitreps, activity-specific reports, as required. 
  • Submit quality reports as scheduled including but not limited to weekly, monthly etc.
  • Work closely with Information Management staff, where applicable, to ensure accurate and effective data presentation, graphics and maps. 
  • Compile field level information required to produce weekly and biweekly progress updates, monthly Situation Reports donor appeals, and updates related to the humanitarian assistance in the country following the standard reporting format/scheme, quarterly indicator reports, bi-annual, annual reports and other narrative reports as assigned by the relevant departments;
  • Oversee reporting and data quality in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Follow up submitting daily indicators in DHIS, Safe space and case management system with ensuring verifications process. 
  • Screen and cross-check systematically internal and external reports, situational reports, information and communication material for accuracy and consistency;
  • Maintain a close collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation team, field and technical Teams to ensure a smooth exchange of information. 
  • Provide technical support, training and clarification on technics issues;
  • Monitor and review regular sources of information and data required for report preparation, e.g., information from NGOs, news clippings, surveys, information from field monitors, statistics reports. 
  • Respect and follow the organization's policies. 
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job Requirements & qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree in psychology, social sciences, public health, nursing required.
  • Experience in GBVIMS and case management
  • Three years and above experience in similar position 
  • Attended trainings on GBV and is aware of protection issues.
  • Experience in data analyzing and working with Microsoft power pi.
  • S/he should have an extensive experience in diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation, publication, and audio-visual material preparation in relation to conservation and development fields.
  • S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in both English and Arabic.
  • S/he should be well versed in the latest electronic publishing methods.
  • Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver reports according to donor and organization requirements.
  • S/he must be well versed in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Arabic language typing.
  • Experience in graphic design is an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative not only in identifying problems but also in suggesting and implementing solutions.
