Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE: 

  • To enter the EiE data and support in all data-related activities.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Staff directly reporting to this post: None


KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Needs Analysis and Program Design:

  • Participate in required assessments
  • Contribute to situation analysis and participate actively in developing a Child protection and assessments.

Program Implementation:

Information Management

  • Ensure the regular, complete, timely and accurate entry of registration forms (RFs), attendance sheets, trainings and awareness sessions into the database.
  • Document all registered RFs and activity Means of Verification (MOVs) forms according to information management needs and SCI procedures and policies.
  • Apply data validation rule to prevent name errors and duplications and frequently update the EiE data under the direct line manger guidance and support.
  • Produce monthly, disaggregated statistics and qualitative updates of progress on the program activities work.
  • Ensure that the data related to children is safe and shared as per Save the Children’s procedures and policies.
  • Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.
  • Ensures the databases of Aden and Lahj are formed to be reflecting the required information and consistent.
  • Develop any required data for the program activities and program staff as relevant.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Other data entry

  • Regularly and systematically obtain information of Education project achievements.
  • Ensure that the relevant reporting formats (IPTT, narrative, output tracker) are updated and submitted to the line manager as required.
  • Fill the online data requested by the clusters and any other requested reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in information management or relevant field.   
  • At least 2 years work experience in a humanitarian context, with international NGOs.
  • Computer literate (Strong skills in Micro office application (Word, Excel .....etc)
  • Ability to do data entry very fast and accurately.
  • Good understanding of key areas of EiE programming; knowledge of activities, trainings and locations is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and increase work hours in the event of emergencies.
  • Ability to write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to participate in data collection, feeding and reports generation.
  • Strong representational and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability and willingness to be mobile.
  • Experience of working in an insecure environment.
  • Good level of physical health and fitness
