HYS Games is a growing game developer studio. Based in the heart of Sana’a, our team is passionate about game development and publishing, providing players with fun and satisfying game experiences.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Unity game developer, able to lead the development of Casual games in a fast-paced, iterative environment. You will work closely with our team to develop and iterate engaging, satisfying, and ultimately successful hit games.

• Create casual games as part of a small, focused team.
• Develop new gameplay mechanics and build levels with genuine autonomy.
• Debug and resolve issues.
• Problem solving skill by determining, identifying, prioritizing, and selecting the best approach for a solution.
• Play and deconstruct other games to increase your knowledge and bring fresh ideas to the team.

What will be your main challenges?

• Create intuitive mobile games in a very fast-paced iterative process.
• Develop an efficient pipeline with the Game Artist you are paired with to rapidly create prototypes (10 Days per Prototype) and test them.
• Versatility to work on all aspects of the game.
• Being able to contribute to new game ideas and features.
• Ability to deconstruct and analyze casual games (visuals and game mechanics).
• Broaden your casual market knowledge. 

Preferred Experience

• A proven experience with the Unity game engine with proficiency in C#.
• Someone who can work at a fast pace.
• You are eager to learn new skills and enjoy problem solving.
• Previous experience in game development (as part of a game development team or otherwise).
• An ability to work autonomously, can be trusted to deliver against timelines.
• Can speak and write English.
