Position Description

UG activities are centred around providing services to clients and customers. UG thrives for a strong integration of all its activities to position the company name more effectively in the market. As part of UG’s Marketing team (content specialist, e-marketing specialist, PR specialist, consultants), UG is seeking a new team member to lead/assist in developing and delivering digital content (with the help of the content specialist) to deliver on the communication activities of the multiple companies in the group. This is a full-time position, based in Sana’a, at the Universal Group main office.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the targeted audience for each company within the group.
  • Collaborate with other departments and companies within the group to create content, manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
  • Build and execute social media strategy through research on audience and competition in the market. 
  • Assist to set up and optimise companies’ social media platforms.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video or links) that build meaningful connections and encourages visitors to take action.
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication.
  • Develop, implement and manage social media strategy.
  • Define most important social media KPIs.
  • Help create consistent and meaningful content on all UG social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
  • Post, edit and manage news on UG website and social media platforms.
  • Direct all client-generated content in accordance with the balanced approach for each network.
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practises and technologies
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
  • Provide constructive feedback by using data to analyse what’s working, what’s not, and reinforce or refocus key messages accordingly
  • Generate and revise web pages, study of website activity, manage other users access, interact with incoming inquiries and complaints, backup, and be attentive to the server
  • Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate UG companies’ websites and social media presence and performance.
  • Prepare monthly reports on UG websites’ performance and social media marketing efforts.
  • Work to increase followers and raise the level of interaction with what is published by the site and pages of UG.
  • Suggest recommendations to adjust UG companies’ social media marketing strategy for optimal results.
  • Assist in developing UG companies' websites.
  • Collaborate and advise on companies’ websites content with their social media platforms.
  • Perform other duties when needed.

Education & Work Experience

  • Excellent English language skills
  • Bachelor's degree in E-Marketing or Information Technology, Information Systems, Data analysis, Computer, Media and Public Relations or other related degree.
  • Five years or more experience in e-marketing and social media management.
  • Good background of Drupal PhP, HTML, Jaffa Script, websites security, publishing. marketing and advertising tools on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram and search engines.
  • Understand Web Traffic Metrics (which are visitor and follower measurements and interaction ratios).
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate digital content performance.
  • Understand clients and followers’ behaviour
  • Have the following skills: communication skills, dialogue, critical thinking, problem solving, cooperation with the work team, organisation and time management, and working under pressure.
