Position: Data Entry Officer

Job site:  Abyan

Report to:  Activity Coordinator and the Project Manager

Status:  Full-time Staff

Purpose / Objectives: 

The Data Entry is responsible for the efficient and correct data entry – screening and identification of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. 

Project information:                                                                                                             

INTERSOS is implementing mixed migration response and protection monitoring activities.

INTERSOS Migrants Response Teams (MRTs) will be providing protection services and life-saving assistance to migrants: emergency food, NFIs, psycho-social first aid and awareness (to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers and host community for awareness), in addition to emergency transportation in case of injury and need for medical treatment or safety.

INTERSOS Mixed Migration Monitoring Teams (MMMTs) will be conducting protection monitoring activities in the area of coverage, looking into movements of the new arrivals, risk levels in each district in the respective governorate, engage with authorities to raise awareness on legal framework and protection concerns related to refugees/asylum seekers and migrants. Refer the different POCs to the different relevant actors (IOM-ECHO). Collect information and monitor detention sites and prisons where POCs are being detained. Raised awareness on Covid-19 and protection concerns for POCs.

Responsibilities/duties:                                                                                                       

  • Update the databases for all the activities and share it with Activity Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Follow the outreach workers and manage the work progress and the check all the identification forms.
  • Mange the KOBO system, mange it and ensure that all the outreach worker uploaded all the forms on daily basis
  • Translate any documents related to the activities’ implementation when requested.
  • Monitor and follow up the outcome of the material assistance provided by INTERSOS.
  • Be available to provide emergency assistance – including first aid (receive training from INTERSOS in delivery of first aid).
  • Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres.
  • Ensure to keep complete and well-organized records: Manage, fill, archive specific forms for registration, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the Activity Coordinator to provide information for the Weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Accomplish any other tasks requested by the Activity Coordinator and the project manager.
