Médecins Sans Frontières France is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit for the following position:

LOG HOSPITAL SUPERVISOR (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL) 

Location: Aden Sadaqa CTC
Reporting to: Log Manager 
CONTRACT TYPE: Fix Term Contract
Duration: 1 month, possibility to extend
Opening date: 24 November 2021

Main Purpose
Supervising the daily logistics activities and providing maintenance to the MSF equipment, facilities and infrastructures, according to MSF standards and protocols in order to maintain the facilities in perfect conditions and collaborate in the development of the mission.

Key of  Responsibilities

Maintenance of equipment and other assets

• Keeps an up-to-date overview of equipment under maintenance in the project, monitors maintenance activities of infrastructures, management of non-medical stocks and equipment according to MSF standards. Defines a preventive maintenance schedule for each (type of) equipment. Follows up the maintenance schedule of the Project ACs and submits it to the Logistics Manager. In cases of maintenance contracts, calls for the external service provider; plans and supervises the service performed by the external technician.
• Ensures proper reference to the mission’s asset inventory together with the Log Manager, and creates and updates an equipment card/file for each individual equipment unit

Maintenance and Rehab in the hospital compound and installations 

• Ensures the check and follow-up of facilities, evaluation of the rehabilitation needs and following up minor building rehabilitation work according to manager's instructions; When documentation is insufficient, creates drawings and diagrams;
• Checks that premises observe security norms and monitoring the consumption of mechanical and electrical vehicles/machines/devices
• Makes a planning for regular rounds of inspection of the compound and perimeter facilities: Water installations, Security installations, Drainage and sewage, Structural elements, Doors and windows.
• Develops checklists for the above inspections and makes condition reports for all premises with recommendations, consulting the Specialist Biomed/Electrician or the IT/Radio Supervisor if necessary; 

Supervision activity

• Coordinates and leads the logistics team under his/her responsibility which includes daily supervision, monitoring of the quality of work and the definition of each person's task, drawing up their working schedules; organizing and leading team meetings; participating in the recruitment of team personnel and attending logistics meetings and accounting for his activities
• Manages and follows up orders which includes collecting logistics orders coming from different departments or health facilities; provides technical support to the storekeeper, makes local purchases according to MSF supply procedures and ensures reception conditions of freight or arriving material as well as the organization and setting up of materials before its shipment
• Discusses proposed maintenance works with the Logistics Manager, providing detailed work descriptions and cost estimations.
• Assists the Logistics Manager with the preparation of annual budgets and budget revisions on the basis of a yearly maintenance plan covering all premises.
• Prepares incident/accident reports and properly documents any security incidents
• Defines the staff required for his/her activity and drafts/updates job descriptions for approval by the Logistics Manager; regularly discusses team composition and workload.
• Organizes the recruitment of personnel for his/her activity (with the support of the Log Manager);

Requirements

Education    

• Essential secondary education and formal technical training   

Experience    

• At least one year in MSF or 2 years in a similar post out of MSF  

Language        

• Mission language English (B1 or C1) and local language Arabic

Knowledeges

• Computer literacy (word, excel, internet)
