SRA Foundation contributes to alleviating the humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are going through, by practicing humanitarian activities, improving livelihood activities, and enhancing the self-economy of the most vulnerable. It started practicing its activities since 2016. It relies on a group of young people and experts who believe in volunteering and are convinced of the noble goals and objectives of the Foundation.JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of Executive director. The MEAL officer will be responsible for keep track and respond to the data requirements of the SRA in close collaboration and follow-up with program and projects team and partners.  
She/he will provide technical support to field based staff implementing the all projects with, track performance progresses to meet project targets, and conduct regular monitoring visits as well as assignments including assessment and survey. The post-holder is expected to perform below responsibilities and any other duties as assigned. The duties listed are representative of the nature of work assigned and not all-inclusive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Indicators Monitoring:

  • Follows up with program team in reporting on performance indicators on regular basis as per the reporting schedule.
  • Carries out data audits and spot checks on the quality of data reported by the program and the partners, using supporting documents.
  • Consolidates data for program indicators for reporting.

2.    Field Monitoring:

  • Undertakes documented field visits to report on the implementation of program activities.
  • Follows up with the program team on implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support the field officers to Monitor the implementation of all projects, prepare implementation plan, tracking of the indicators, ensure the achievement of the project proposed goals, outcomes, outputs and activities, and guide them to achieve project targets.

3.    Mobile Data Collection:

  • Supports the program team with digitization of the data tools on different platforms.
  • Supports with training enumerators and partners on use of different tools for data collection.
  • Makes sure data entry, data cleaning and data analysis using KOBO, Ms. Excel and SPSS or any different analysis program.
  • Makes sure that protocols on data collection are adhered to.

4.    Learning:

  • The necessity of benefiting from the lessons learned in previous projects and experiences, and trying to reflect that in future projects.
  • As part of our commitment to organizational learning and in support of our understanding that learning organizations are more effective, efficient and relevant to the communities they serve, we expect all team members to commit 5% of their time to learning activities that benefit SRA as well as themselves.

5.    General M&E tasks:

  • Monitor quality standards across all project sites of identified for this position 
  • Support the media team officer in developing SRA publications, news and other communication and visibility materials. 
  • Prepare and document all means of verification for activities achieved and reviewing that target.
  • Facilitates and participates in the organization of the capacity building activities.
  • Ensure implementation of activities as per the work plan and all related documents and logistics are prepared and approved.
  • Participating in prepare regular timely and high quality monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual narrative project report of the different projects and any other reports requested.
  • Ensure that the stated outputs and objectives of all projects overseen by the position are met with strong monitoring and evaluation follow up and reports are written and submitted to concerned bodies in a timely manner.
  • Design and delivery of M&E plans and design/adapt information systems in all programs.
  • Ensure the regular collection of the project required data according to the planned activities and indicators
  • Preparation of a success stories for the different implemented project and ensure satisfied documentation of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification;  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, social science discipline, or related technical field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • At least two (2) years’ experience working as MEAL or M&E with NGO that carried out development and humanitarian activities and projects in several sectors, such as (FSAC, Nutrition, Health, WASH, CCCM and Protection, etc.).
  • Desirable demonstrated experience in writing M&E log frame development, including outcomes, outputs and activities and flow up the indicators and targets.
  • Comprehensive experience operating personal computers to create documents using common office word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Demonstrated experience performing clerical and administrative duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
  • M&E; develop measurement strategy, baseline and need assessment, field study and Evaluation.
  • Data entry, data cleaning and data analysis using KOBO, Ms. Excel and SPSS.
  • Supervising and providing technical support and assistance to field-based staff.
  • Accountability: respond with balance to the needs of all stakeholders in the activities of the programs, by transparent communications and to ensure the design of a complaints mechanism, feedback to beneficiaries, and implementation of verification processes.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Ability to interact well with people and proven experience of building strong relationships with community members.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship building skills. 
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Willingness and commitment to work long hours and/or over weekends.
  • Experience of electronic homepages and mapping.
