The ICRC is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of:
Economic Security Assistant
Contract type: Open-ended

Duty Station: Hodeidah
PURPOSE
Economic Security Assistant works under the direct supervision of the EcoSec Delegate and is responsible primarily for the management of the program statistical data based on the internal tools and procedures, formulation of the monthly statistical reports, including other statistical reports when required.
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:
Data entry/processing and EPMT
- Compiles/centralizes and updates the statistical data from the field concerning all EcoSec interventions on a monthly basis;
- Ensures that the field statistical data are submitted timely and through the established tools and procedures;
- Maintains regular exchange with EcoSec FO’s for the monthly statistical reporting and provides support in this regard as required;
- Provides recommendation for the adjustment of the tools for statistical reporting if-when necessary;
- Acts as a focal person for and manages independently the EPMT database for Hodeida Sub-delegation;
- Maintains regular exchange with other team members concerning day-to-day use of EPMT application (creates new records: beneficiaries, distribution plans, orders);
- Updates the EPMT application by creating new files as required (introduction of new commodity types, translation);
- Liaises with the GIS team on the production of program maps based on the team’s monthly/quarterly/annual statistical updates;
- If-when required, supports EPMT users and guides them through the e-learning system
Secretarial tasks
- Creates RO’s/SRs as required and liaises with the respective EcoSec and Logistics staff to ensure proper and timely formulation and follow up of the SRs / RO’s;
- Ensures that the file with the SRs / RO’s for different EcoSec interventions is updated on a regular basis and available as reference to EcoSec Delegate;
- Facilitates the organization of internal and external meetings, writes minutes of meetings and ensures follow-up as required;
- Manages the filing of electronic documents and physical records of as per the internal procedures and ensures that the files are timely updates and available as a reference within the department, including Logistics, Administration and Management when required;
- Shows judgment abilities to deal with special cases and proposes solutions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/Degree (Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration or similar field);
- 2-4 years’ work experience in a similar field;
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic;
- Excellent skills in data entry and processing through MS Excel, Device Magic and other contemporary tools;
- Very good computer skills in general;
- Very good communication skills.
