For our program in Yemen, we are looking for a MHW/Psychologists, the position will be based in Aden with field visits.

Job Purpose

Under the filed management of the Health Facility Supervisor, and technical management of MHPSS supervisor and with the close collaboration with the Health and Protection teams, the psychologist will be responsible for providing MDM focused and non-specialized mental health and psychosocial support intervention as individual and/or group beneficiaries’ services based on the identified psychological or social needs. and He/She will be responsible in building referral links to MDM health and protection service providers and to external specialized services. He/She contributes to the community-level psychosocial support activities and to the data collection.

  • Deliver MDM MHPSS services through individual and group counseling sessions in close collaboration with the health and protection teams or other identified team.
  • Participate to the related capacity building sessions, meetings, training, and MDM activities
  • Provide technical support to PSSW and protection team if needed.
  • Participate in data collection and reporting
  • Provide technical support to the community volunteers (CVs) in the identification of beneficiaries in need of MHPSS interventions.

Main activities

TASK ONE: Provide targeted mental health and psychosocial support services

Individual Psychosocial Counselling:

  • Delivers different types of individual MHPSS interventions (Supportive short-term and longer-term Counseling), following MDM SOPs and intervention framework and international evidence-based MHPSS in emergencies and recovery guidelines and tools such as the ones developed by the WHO (PM+, Doing What Matters in Times of Stress, etc).
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to adult beneficiaries suffering from mild to moderate psychological symptoms, by following MDM MHPSS internal framework, SOPs and data collection tools and international guidelines such as the IASC
  • Work with beneficiaries to develop an individualized treatment plan based on the assessment in line with their own choices, available options, and existing situation.
  • Provide basic support and guidance to family members to help them provide ongoing support to the sever cases.
  • Provide child counseling sessions involving child's parents/caregivers through offering family counseling or psycho-education session.

Group Counselling Sessions

  • Provide support group sessions for adult, adolescents and children beneficiaries, by following MDM MHPSS framework, SOPs, international MHPSS guidelines and clinical protocols such as the ones developed by the WHO.
  • Carry out and facilitate different type of group sessions for targeted groups.
  • Internally refer cases in need of individual counselling.

Case Management:

  • Provide appropriate internal and external referrals, follow up, monitor all referral cases, and ensure timely turnaround of assessment reports and other needed interventions.
  • Receive and manage referrals from or to health and protection team or others.
  • Provide appropriate referrals to specialized interventions, coordinates with the MHPSS Supervisor and medical supervisor.
  • Contribute to the development of a reliable referral system with MDM health and protection service providers
  • Develop individuals care and safety plans
  • Collect beneficiary data documentations;
  • Maintain and promote beneficiary confidentiality regarding beneficiary information and records, and ensure informed consent for appropriate cases and management plans;
  • Work closely with the MHPSS supervisor and -MHPSS Co-if needed- in severe cases and at risk cases

TASK TWO: Support the community volunteers (CVs), PSSW and other staff members in the identification of beneficiaries in need of specific psychological counselling (individual or group support)

  • Participate in the identification and selection of Community Volunteers (CVs).
  • Working closely with the MHPSS supervisors in providing regular capacity building of Community Volunteers (CVs), PSSW and other staff members in Mental Health related topics.
  • Providing technical support and supervision to the Community Volunteers (CVs) -PSSW and other staff members-if needed- through regular follow-ups.

TASK THREE: Reporting

  • Provide timely progress reports, including both quantitative and qualitative information, on MHPSS interventions and activities.
  • Being in charge of the MHPSS materials and making the liaise with the logistic department for the procurement of the needed activities items based on MDM guidelines.
  • immediate reporting for at risk cases.
  • In close collaboration with the MHPSS supervisor, contribute to the MHPSS statistic reports
  • Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.

TASK FOUR: Capacity building:

  • Participates to the capacity building sessions performed by the MHPSS supervisor and MHPSS Co or other MDM staff members.
  • Receive technical inputs and regular supervision from the MHPSS supervisor.
  • Plan and implement closely with the MHPSS supervisor and medical coordinator, internal and external MHPSS workshops, trainings and capacity building.
  • Propose, develop and implement capacity building training on topics related to MHPSS to the Base staff- If needed.
  • Participate in weekly case discussions meetings.
  • Participate in Yemen MHPSS monthly meetings.

TASK FIVE: Demonstrate ethical and professional practice:

  • Document all beneficiary data accurately in the MHPSS forms and ensure they are under lock.
  • Record the beneficiary and activity data accurately according to the guidelines, ensuring data protection.
  • Ensure that the MHPSS tools is accurately updated on a regular basis.
  • Respect beneficiary confidentiality at all times
  • Perform the psychosocial intake assessment and without risking beneficiary’s’ personal safety.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all beneficiaries.
  • Respect and promote MDM Polices and code of conduct
  • Address needs and requests of beneficiaries in a respectful and professional manner
  • Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers.
  • Always respect a refusal of MHPSS intervention or activates.
  • Maintain good socio-professional relationships with national and international partners.
  • Attend MDM team meetings and to give qualitative inputs.
  • Flexibility in performing his/her duties to ensure that beneficiaries are getting good quality services.

PROFILE REQUIRED

Qualification required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology or counselling.
  • Diploma in clinical psychology is preferred.
  • Training on PM+, Resilience group, Family Psychoeducation, child and adult individual counselling, support groups.

Skills required:

  • Minimum two years of experience in similar position with INGOs
  • Experience working with individual counseling for adult and children, PM+ approach, and resilience groups
  • Minimum Two (2) years professional experience, preferably in the NGO sector.

تحت الإدارة المودعة للمشرف الطبي في المركز الصحي، والإدارة الفنية لمشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي وبالتعاون الوثيق مع فرق الصحة والحماية، سيكون الأخصائي النفسي مسؤولاً عن توفير تدخلات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي المركّز وغير المتخصص للمستفيدين سواء كانت خدمات فردية و/ أو جماعية بناء على الاحتياجات النفسية والاجتماعية المحددة، وسيكون مسؤولاً عن بناء روابط الإحالة لمقدمي خدمات الصحة والحماية في منظمة أطباء العالم والخدمات المتخصصة الخارجية. هو/ هي يساهم في أنشطة الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي على مستوى المجتمع وفي جمع البيانات. تتمثل المهمات الأساسية بما يلي:

  • تقديم خدمات الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي من خلال جلسات المشورة الفردية والجماعية بالتعاون الوثيق مع الفريق الصحي والحماية أو فرق أخرى محددة.
  • المشاركة في جلسات بناء القدرات ذات الصلة والاجتماعات والتدريبات وأنشطة منظمة أطباء العالم.
  • تقديم الدعم الفني لفريق مقدمين خدمات الدعم لنفسي الاجتماعي والحماية إذا لزم الأمر.
  • المشاركة في جمع البيانات وإعداد التقارير.
  • تقديم الدعم الفني للمتطوعين المجتمعيين (CVs) في تحديد المستفيدين الذين يحتاجون إلى تدخلات الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.

وصف المهام

المهمة الأولى: توفير خدمات الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي المستهدفة

الإرشاد النفسي والاجتماعي الفردي:

  • تقديم الدعم الأساسي والتوجيه لأفراد الأسرة لمساعدتهم على تقديم الدعم المستمر للحالات الخطيرة.
  • تقديم جلسات إرشاد للأطفال تشمل والدي الطفل / مقدمي الرعاية من خلال تقديم المشورة الأسرية أو جلسة التثقيف النفسي.

جلسات استشارية جماعية

  • توفير جلسات دعم جماعية للبالغين والمراهقين والأطفال المستفيدين، من خلال اتباع إطار عمل الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي لأطباء العالم، وإجراءات التشغيل الموحدة، والمبادئ التوجيهية الدولية للصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والبروتوكولات السريرية مثل تلك التي وضعتها منظمة الصحة العالمية.
  •   إجراء وتسهيل أنواع مختلفة من الجلسات الجماعية للمجموعات المستهدفة.
  • إحالة الحالات التي تحتاج إلى مشورة فردية داخليًا.

إدارة حالة:

  • توفير الإحالات الداخلية والخارجية المناسبة، ومتابعة ورصد جميع حالات الإحالة، وضمان التسليم في الوقت المناسب لتقارير التقييم والتدخلات الأخرى اللازمة.
  • تلقي وإدارة الإحالات من أو إلى فريق الصحة والحماية أو غيرهم.
  • توفير الإحالات المناسبة للتدخلات المتخصصة، بالتنسيق مع مشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والمشرف الطبي.
  •   المساهمة في تطوير نظام إحالة موثوق به مع موفري خدمات الصحة والحماية في منظمة أطباء العالم.
  • وضع خطط رعاية وسلامة الأفراد
  • جمع وثائق بيانات المستفيدين
  • الحفاظ على سرية المستفيدين وتعزيزها فيما يتعلق بمعلومات المستفيدين وسجلاتهم، وضمان الموافقة المستنيرة على الحالات المناسبة وخطط إدارة الحالات.
  • العمل عن كثب مع مشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي – ومنسق الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي - إذا لزم الأمر - في الحالات الشديدة والحالات المعرضة للخطر

المهمة الثانية: دعم المتطوعين في المجتمع (CVs) ومقدمين خدمات الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي وغيرهم من الموظفين في تحديد المستفيدين الذين يحتاجون إلى مشورة نفسية محددة (دعم فردي أو جماعي)

  • المشاركة في تحديد واختيار المتطوعين المجتمعيين (CVs).
  • العمل عن كثب مع مشرفي الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي في توفير بناء القدرات المنتظم لمتطوعي المجتمع (CVs) ومقدمي خدمات الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي وغيرهم من الموظفين في الموضوعات المتعلقة بالصحة النفسية.
  • تقديم الدعم الفني والإشرافي لمتطوعي المجتمع (CVs) - مقدمي خدمات الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي وأعضاء فريق العمل الآخرين - إذا لزم الأمر - من خلال المتابعة المنتظمة.

المهمة الثالثة: إعداد ورفع التقارير

  •   تقديم تقارير مرحلية في الوقت المناسب ، بما في ذلك المعلومات الكمية والنوعية ، حول تدخلات وأنشطة الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
  • أن تكون مسؤولاً عن مواد الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والتواصل مع القسم اللوجستي لشراء عناصر الأنشطة المطلوبة بناءً على إرشادات منظمة أطباء العالم.
  •   الإبلاغ الفوري عن الحالات المعرضة للخطر.

المهمة الرابعة: بناء القدرات

  • المشاركة في جلسات بناء القدرات التي يقوم بها مشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي ومنسق الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
  • تلقي المدخلات الفنية والإشراف المنتظم من مشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
  • التخطيط والتنفيذ عن كثب مع مشرف الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والمنسق الطبي ورش العمل الداخلية والخارجية والدورات التدريبية وبناء القدرات.
  • اقتراح وتطوير وتنفيذ تدريب بناء القدرات حول الموضوعات المتعلقة بالصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي لموظفي الميدان - إذا لزم الأمر
  • المشاركة في اجتماعات مناقشة الحالة الأسبوعية.
  • المشاركة في الاجتماعات الشهرية للصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي في اليمن.

المهمة الخامسة: إظهار الممارسة الأخلاقية والمهنية

  • توثيق جميع بيانات المستفيدين بدقة في نماذج الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والتأكد من أنها مقفلة.
  • تسجيل بيانات المستفيد والأنشطة بدقة حسب الإرشادات، مع ضمان حماية البيانات.
