Expression of Interest (EOI)

The United Nations World Food Programme Yemen seeks Service Providers to review, evaluate and design Fire Safety/Control Systems at WFP Warehouses in Yemen

The United Nations World Food Programme in Yemen (UNWFP) operates warehouses for food and non-food items in the following locations: Sana’a, Aden, Hodeida and Ibb  with total covered storage space of approximately 80,000 square metres.

The review and evaluation of WFP Warehouses fire safety/control include but not limited to assessment & evaluation of the existing fire systems, recommendations to optimize the fire safety/control system and design technical and financial study for WFP warehouses fire safety/control solutions, where applicable, according to the International standards in the Fire Safety/Control Sector.

Only companies that meet the following criteria need to reply to this Expression of Interest:

  • Companies must be registered at the government related bodies and have valid licenses.
  • Companies must have a minimum of 3 years of fire safety/control experience.
  • Companies must have qualified technical experts.
  • Companies must have good expertise in fire safety systems review, evaluation and design.
  • Companies should be financially strong and have a secure capital flow.
  • Companies should have sufficient capacity to operate nationwide.

Companies that meet the above-mentioned criteria and wish to be considered for provision of the subject services need to send official letter expressing their interest to provide the subject services for WFP Yemen to the following email address:  Yemen.logisticscontracting@wfp.org

Consequently, WFP Yemen will share the questionnaire form to be filled and submitted along with the relevant licenses & company’s documents which includes but not limited to (letter of EOI, company profile, commercial registration certificate, tax certificate, CVs of technical experts, experience contracts/certificates and audited financial statements for the years 2016 and 2017)  in a sealed envelope, labelled with the EOI subject and Company name, to WFP office in Sana’a, Nowakshot street, no later than 23rd April 2018.

This announcement is not a tender and rates are not being requested at this stage. Accordingly, please note that neither this Expression of Interest nor the receipt of completed questionnaires binds the World Food Program to issue any tenders or contracts to any such interested parties. Following assessment of applications, WFP reserves the right to accept or reject your interest to be included in WFP’s service provider’s shortlist, without any further clarification.
