About KALU
KALU Institute is an Humanitarian Aid learning, including the development of training packages and organization of thematic workshops, conferences and seminars. and registered NGO in Andalusia (R-0278) and a National Association (595169) constituted in Spain under Law 1/2002.
Our aim is to strengthen humanitarian response through training aid workers, developing and disseminating highly applicable research findings, and supporting innovative technologies within the sector.
We are a HPASS certified humanitarian training provider. This certification is a recognition that KALU is providing a high quality learning which meets globally identified best practice.

As the frequency and complexity of humanitarian crises continues to rise, there is increasing demand for a highly skilled and flexible workforce, capable of preparing for and responding more effectively to evolving and unforeseen crises.
For organizations involved in humanitarian preparedness and response, investing in learning and the development of staff and volunteers is no longer a luxury, but an urgent necessity. HPass responds to the need for consistent professional development and learning for humanitarians, who move frequently between organizations and locations, and need their skills and experience to be recognized in order to be deployed quickly, especially during emergency response.
HPass is an essential resource for humanitarian staff and volunteers, recruiters, line managers and human resource (HR) professionals, and providers of humanitarian learning and assessment services.

HPass is overseen by a steering committee of eight organizations and hosted by the Humanitarian Leadership Academy.

This training is in partnership with Gender and Development Researches Studies Center at Sana'a University. After completing the program, the student can submit his/her documents to the Center for Gender and Development Studies at Sana’a University to study supplementary materials and discuss the thesis in order to obtain a master’s degree accredited by Sana’a University and endorsement from Yemeni Higher Education
