Role: Procurement Manager Assistant
As an Assistant to the Procurement Manager, your primary role will be to provide dedicated support to our Procurement Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Procurement Manager in vendor relationship management and supplier coordination.
- Supporting the Procurement Manager in processing and coordinating purchase orders, ensuring they adhere to company policies.
- Actively participating in price negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential new suppliers, compare products, and make valuable recommendations.
- Assisting in quality assurance efforts to ensure that purchased products meet required standards and specifications.
- Collaborating with inventory teams to manage stock levels and ensure timely product delivery.
- Staying updated on market trends, potential supply disruptions, and emerging technologies that may impact procurement decisions.
- Preparing and organizing documents, reports, and presentations as requested.
- Monitoring and responding to emails and correspondence on behalf of the manager.
- Conducting research, gathering information, and compiling data for various projects.
- Coordinating and communicating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in procurement or related roles is a plus.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
- Analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data maintenance, analysis, and reporting, including familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
- Computer proficiency.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and project management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal English is a must.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- A track record of actively supporting process improvements and automation.
- Experience in establishing metrics, measuring productivity, and optimizing business processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including assigning, prioritizing, monitoring, and reviewing work assignments.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
