Job Description

Role: Procurement Manager Assistant

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant to the Procurement Manager, your primary role will be to provide dedicated support to our Procurement Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Procurement Manager in vendor relationship management and supplier coordination.
  • Supporting the Procurement Manager in processing and coordinating purchase orders, ensuring they adhere to company policies.
  • Actively participating in price negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential new suppliers, compare products, and make valuable recommendations.
  • Assisting in quality assurance efforts to ensure that purchased products meet required standards and specifications.
  • Collaborating with inventory teams to manage stock levels and ensure timely product delivery.
  • Staying updated on market trends, potential supply disruptions, and emerging technologies that may impact procurement decisions.
  • Preparing and organizing documents, reports, and presentations as requested.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails and correspondence on behalf of the manager.
  • Conducting research, gathering information, and compiling data for various projects.
  • Coordinating and communicating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in procurement or related roles is a plus.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
  • Analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data maintenance, analysis, and reporting, including familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and project management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English is a must.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • A track record of actively supporting process improvements and automation.
  • Experience in establishing metrics, measuring productivity, and optimizing business processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including assigning, prioritizing, monitoring, and reviewing work assignments.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
