Context:
Under the overall coordination of the DTM Senior Programme Support Assistant and under the direct supervision of the DTM Governorate Focal Point and technical guidance from the Information Management team, the incumbent will be responsible for the collection and reporting of information in selected locations across Yemen. In particular, s/he will:
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits for Multi-Cluster Location Assessment (MCLA) data collection.
- Conduct interviews with Households, Key Informants, or any other stakeholder to collect information on needs, vulnerabilities, or any other information required for MCLA.
- Prepare and complete paper and electronic data collection forms and tools with high accuracy on a daily manner.
- Provide additional qualitative information and submit relevant reports as required.
- Build and maintain a network with Key Informants and maintain a rapport with households from various communities such as Internally Displaced, Non-Displaced, Host Community, Returnee, Refugee, and Migrant populations.
- Support IOM units on data collection, monitoring, registration, verification or other related activities when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by direct supervisor or DTM management team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- High School diploma with one year of relevant experience performing the same responsibilities. Experience
- Experience in building and maintaining key informant networks
- Experience in using paper questionnaires and forms when conducting interviews. Experience using computers, mobile phones, and/or tablets for data collection or data entry Experience with Kobo or other data collection software
Languages
- Fluency Arabic is required, Multi-lingual is an advantage.
