RDP advocates for the rights of affected populations and work in many field areas, food security, nutrition and health and water, sanitation and hygiene, good governance and peace.

Job Description:

The Nutrition Program Assistant will be supporting the BSFP Officer in all program office work and be the focal point for contact between the BSFP Officer and field staff regarding daily usual issues. He \ She will work under direct supervision of the BSFP Officer to whom regular revised and compiled projects reports and statistical data should be submitted. He \ She will represent RDP on external meetings, travel to projects sites, and participate in the coordination processes with Local Authorities, MoPH&P and Clusters when assigned to do so.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the BSFP Officer and Field Office Manager to achieve program's objectives and targets effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare and draft weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans for the health and nutrition programs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for internal and external use on the ongoing projects of the programs.
  • Manage program office work including Logistics, Finance and HR requests processing, archiving program documents, supervising program's volunteers, organizing meetings schedule and any other related tasks.
  • Participate in the coordination with GHO, DHO, health and nutrition sub clusters in the implementation of health and nutrition programs.
  • Follow the program projects progress through continuous contact with field staff.
  • Make sure that projects targets are met by following indicators and activities tracking sheets.
  • Conduce field visits for monitoring projects progress, attending local meetings and meeting project field staff.
  • Receive, revise and compile the field projects data regularly including narrative reports, statistical reports, case studies, and success stories before submitting them to the BSFP Officer in due time.
  • Make sure that complaint and feedback mechanism (CFM) is working efficiently and feedback is taken in the due time.
  • Contact field staff whenever needed for getting information, monitoring work progress, following action points, gathering regular reports and other related issues.
  • Regularly informing and updating the field staff on technical guidelines through Emails, personal phone calls, prepared printed materials and field review meetings.
  • Daily tracking for projects activities implementation progress and ensuring that quality level of implementation meets international standards.
  • Attend external meetings when assigned by BSFP Officer to represent RDP.
  • Cooperate with RDP Logistic, Finance, and Admin and Human Resources departments in order to facilitate field activities.
  • Comply with RDP policies and procedures with respect to code of conduct, child protection, equal opportunities, security and safety, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Commit to the humanitarian principles of strict neutrality, religious and political impartiality and non-discrimination
  • Perform any other related tasks as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • University degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nutrition or any other related technical field.
  • At least 1 years of health and nutrition work experience including six months experience with NGO’s.
  • Strong English and Arabic skills, written and spoken.
  • Ability to write reports in English is required.
  • Commitment to the Humanitarian Principles
