Position: Human Resource Officer - National Staff Position
Job site: Multi-Location
Functional: HR Coordinator
Coordinates with: HR Assistant and Recruitment officer
Status: Full-time Staff
Main objective
The Human Resources Officer manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, to provide clear and organized staff management practices. He/she will be a focal point for all staff on HR issues under the guidance of the HR Coordinator, whilst also providing necessary support to the HR Coordinator on key HR tasks. INTERSOS requires a dynamic person, eager to learn and to develop him/herself.
Duties and responsibilities
Support to Human Resources Department
- Maintains a good general knowledge of INTERSOS policies and Yemeni labor law
- Participates in developing HR team objectives and plans
- Participates in HR team meetings and external meetings as required
Staff Administration
- Ensures the accurate and timely administration of employee files with archiving
- Prepare national staff contracts, consultancy/service contracts and amendments to contracts
- Ensures timely follow-up with staff and managers of the final exit clearance form
- Prepares National Staff Work Experience certificates
- Supports the HR Co with regular update of IMP HQ database for monthly HR statistics
- Ensures the timely and accurate update of staff organograms
Compensation & Benefits
- Prepares the monthly HR Matrix, in liaison with HR Coordinator
Training and Development
- Supports Staff Evaluation process with guidance given to managers and follow-up of completed forms
- Assists with the presentation of Internal Guidelines to all staff quarterly
- Maintains employee training records in liaison with managers
General
- Any other task required for the smooth running of the HR department
- Protects the interests of employees and INTERSOS, in accordance with internal policies and Yemeni Labor Law
Qualifications and requirements
Education and professional requirements:
- Minimum bachelor degree, ideally with HR certification/diploma
- Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience
Qualifications, skills and traits:
- Demonstrated excellent computer literacy (Excel, word, e-mail)
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Arabic native speaker
- Excellent communication and organization
- Punctuality and respect for applicable rules and procedures
- Attention for details and quality
- Strongly objective and impartial reasoning
- Ethical and transparent decision-making
- Independence, i.e. conducting tasks with minimal supervision, and stress resilience
