Role : DB administrator

A Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Specific Database Administrator job duties: 

• Install, patch, maintain and monitor Oracle databases.
• Create and maintain SQL and PL/SQL queries and shell scripts
• Monitor, and verify backups and perform ad-hoc backups and data recovery.
• Provide maintenance support for database systems.
• Data Extraction, transformation, and loading
• Perform routine security and authentication measures
• Database tuning and troubleshooting.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required

Experiences:

• 3 years minimum of professional experience administering Oracle Databases/ Oracle Database administrator certified will be preferred.
• Experience using Oracle Data Guard / Fast Start Failover
• Knowledge or experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
• Experience with maintenance of a distributed Oracle Database System
• Experience in all aspects of Oracle implementation
• Minimum of 3 years experience supporting an Oracle database accessed via a web application
• Experienced with Oracle Middleware Administration
