Third Round of 

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
for
LOCAL INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANTS

Ministry of Water and Environment Through the project management unit (PMU - Aden) of the UWSSP intend to invite local qualified individual consultants for Conducting consultancy services related to WASH Activities such as Preparing Technical Studies and Detailed Designs, tender documents for Construction and Rehabilitation of Water and Sanitation Systems, pumping water/sanitation by solar pumping energy systems, …etc.

UWSSP desired to maintain a pool of pre-qualified panel of local individual’s consultants in wide areas of expertise. This pool would be utilized for consultancies, studies, surveys, assessment, specialized assignments, designing, etc. The pool of individual consultants would be readily available on short- & long-term basis upon arising needs of UWSSP. 
Consultancy and advisory services are required in the following major areas: 

• Preparing studies, tender documents, designing for construction buildings, assessment, and rehabilitation of water and sanitation systems in urban areas.
• Preparing bill of quantities with specifications for electrical/mechanical equipment, pipes, and fittings, …etc.  
• Construction supervision of water and sanitation projects.
• Preparing designs for solar pumping energy systems.
• Participating in receiving committees for materials (e.g., pipes, fittings, pumps, etc.) or equipment (e.g., backhoe, Vacuum truck, etc.).
• Preparing internal networks or designing some programs for water purposes (Graphics works, developers,…etc.)

Minimum Requirements:

The individual consultant should have: 

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil, or Mechanical, or Electromechanical, Health and Safety Specialist, or environmental engineering, or microbiology/chemist, and IT/designer Or Equivalent.
• A minimum of Five Years General Experiences After Graduation.
• A minimum of Five projects in a similar assignment especially in each required engineering fields.
• A minimum of 3 projects with international organizations, UN agencies (e.g.; SFD, PWP, UNICEF, UNOPS, etc.) or Water and sanitation government sectors.  
• Good Command of English and Arabic language.
• Good Command of Computer skills and Engineering programs.
