Position Title: Stakeholder Engagement & Conflict Sensitivity Specialist
Location: Aden, Yemen
Reports To: Program Manager
Deadline: April 30, 2025
Summary
The Stakeholder Engagement & Conflict Sensitivity Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that all interventions are informed by the local context and implemented with a strong conflict sensitivity approach. The role focuses on maintaining inclusive engagement with stakeholders, managing expectations, and integrating local feedback into program design and execution.
Working closely with program teams and key stakeholders—including civil society, local authorities, and community groups—the Specialist will serve as a focal point for collaboration, community outreach, and field monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with civil society organizations, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
2. Ensure that the program activities are contextually relevant and aligned with conflict sensitivity principles.
3. Conduct field visits and community outreach to collect feedback and promote program understanding.
4. Monitor project implementation and contribute to impact evaluation and program improvement.
5. Collaborate with Program Managers, Senior Technical Advisers, and Project & Partnership Specialists to support program delivery.
6. Represent the program in a neutral, professional, and inclusive manner.
7. Respond to emergencies affecting the program stakeholders and communities.
8. Ensure compliance with policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community outreach, conflict-sensitive programming, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of Yemen’s political and social dynamics at local, regional, and national levels.
- Experience working with local councils, CSOs, or in field-based project implementation is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Arabic; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to travel within assigned governorates in Yemen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
