Location of position: Marib, Yemen

I. Presentation of organization

Solidarités International (SI) is a French humanitarian organization, which has been committed to provide aid in the event of conflicts and natural disasters. SI’s mission is to provide aid as quickly and as efficiently as possible to endangered populations by meeting their vital needs: drinking water, food and shelter.
The Yemen mission currently consists of an emergency and post-emergency program with a WASH and FSL focused approach in Taiz, Abyan, Lahj and Al Dhale’e governorates, with activities taking place across the districts of the West Coast as well as in Marib, Shabwa and Hadramout. 

The Yemen mission is looking for an Office Cook / Cleaner, based in Marib.

II. Responsibilities and tasks

The cook/cleaner will clean the living and working quarters of Solidarités International personnel in order to keep these areas clean, safe and pleasant.

سيقوم الطباخ / المنظف بتنظيف أماكن المعيشة والعمل للموظفين لمنظمة سوليدارتيس الدولية  من أجل الحفاظ على هذه المناطق نظيفة وآمنة وممتعة.

He/she is responsible for preparing meals on request for Solidarités International national and expatriate staff, in accordance with the rules of hygiene.

هو / هي المسؤولة عن إعداد وجبات الطعام عند الطلب لموظفي سوليدارتيس والموظفين المغتربين ، وفقًا لقواعد النظافة.

He/she is also responsible for purchasing the food and equipment necessary for this work, and the maintenance of his/her workspace.

كما أنه مسؤول عن شراء المواد الغذائية والمعدات اللازمة لهذا العمل ، وصيانة مكان العمل الخاص به.

List of main tasks : قائمة المهام الأساسية

Cleaningالتنظيف 

•    Disinfect floors

تنظيف تطهير الأرضيات

•    Clean offices, tables, cupboards and make beds

تنظيف المكاتب والطاولات والخزائن و ترتيب الأسرة

•    Clean and disinfect the bathrooms and toilets Empty paper and trash cans

تنظيف وتطهير الحمامات والمراحيض الورق الفارغ وعلب القمامة

•    Ensure that each bathroom is equipped with toilet paper, soap and a hand towel

تأكد من أن كل حمام مجهز بورق التواليت والصابون ومنشفة اليد

•    Wash and dry clothes belonging to Solidarités expatriate personnel, as well as restroom and household linen

غسل وتجفيف الملابس المملوكة لموظفي المنظمه المغتربين وكذلك الحمامات والمفروشات المنزلية

•    Regularly undertake thorough cleaning

إجراء التنظيف الشامل بانتظام

•    Manage the stock of cleaning products under the supervision of direct supervisor

إدارة مخزون منتجات التنظيف تحت إشراف المشرف المباشر

•    Ensure that no unauthorized person (except cleaner, cook and expatriates) gains access to the quarters

التأكد من عدم وصول أي شخص غير مصرح له (باستثناء عامل النظافة والطهي والمغتربين) إلى أماكن العمل

Cooking الطبخ 

•    Wash plates, dishes, cutlery

اغسل الصحون والأطباق وأدوات المائدة

•    Keep the kitchen, cooking utensils and refrigerator clean. Disinfect the refrigerator regularly.

الحفاظ على المطبخ وأواني الطبخ والثلاجة نظيفة. تعقيم الثلاجة بانتظام.

•    Inform his/her line manager of any cooking equipment required and of any missing or damaged materials

إبلاغ مديره المباشر بأي معدات طبخ مطلوبة وأي مواد مفقودة أو تالفة

•    Prepare and clean the dining area before and after meals

تحضير وتنظيف منطقة تناول الطعام قبل وبعد الوجبات 

•    Buy the produce required for meal preparation, within the fixed budget  

 شراء المنتجات اللازمة لإعداد الوجبات ، ضمن الميزانية الثابتة

•    Keep a log recording all expenditure and regularly settle advances relating to the purchase of food

احتفظ بسجل يسجل فيه جميع النفقات وقم بانتظام بتسوية السلف المتعلقة بشراء الطعام

•    Evaluate gas needs and monitor gas consumption

تقييم احتياجات الغاز ومراقبة استهلاك الغاز

•    Manage food and commodity stocks  

إدارة مخزون المواد الغذائية والسلع

•    Prepare meals according to the fixed number of people and definite planning, checking that the food is healthy and the menus varied  

إعداد وجبات الطعام حسب العدد الثابت للأشخاص والتخطيط المحدد ، والتأكد من أن الطعام صحي وتنوع قوائم الطعام 

•    Respect the essential hygiene regulations and maintain exemplary conditions of hygiene in the kitchen and storage areas

احترام لوائح النظافة الأساسية والحفاظ على ظروف مثالية للنظافة في المطبخ ومناطق التخزين    

Monitor the provision of filtered water to living and working areas, ensuring that water filters are disinfected regularly

مراقبة توفير المياه المفلترة لمناطق المعيشة والعمل ، والتأكد من تعقيم مرشحات المياه بانتظام 

Profile Required المتطلبات للوظيفة:

• Experience 1 year in a similar position 
• Have a good cooking skills
• Able to prioritize
• Work independently & within a team
• Diligent in work processes
• Flexible in schedule, attitude and work prioritization
• Ability to speak basic English is preferred.
