Since 1998, Marie Stopes International Yemen (MSIY) has provided high quality healthcare services to women and children across Yemen. MSIY uses a combination of local knowledge and innovation to adapt our services to the situation on the ground and expand our activities to meet the changing needs of people living through the conflict.

MSIY offers maternal and child healthcare (including pre- and post-natal care, and basic emergency obstetric and new-born care (BEmONC) safe delivery; and general health care) through a variety of different channels including private clinics, public sector support, community midwives and toll-free contact centre. MSIY also provides emergency medicines to vulnerable Yemenis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective role in achieving the targets of centre which are align with organization strategy to insure center sustainability.
  • Ensure that the centre operates smoothly, opens, and closes on time and offers high quality RH services as advertised.
  • Ensure that the centre is clean, welcoming, well-advertised, and complies with MSI standards; and solve day to day operational problems.
  • Ensure that the services are friendly, welcoming, gender sensitive and non- discriminating.
  • Regularly contact local businesses, especially clinics and pharmacies, to publicise the centre, promote good relations and referrals, document important discussions.
  • Maintain strategic relations with the DHO and local authorities and make regular (at least monthly) visits to represent MSIY and seek ways of collaboration and cooperation, and minute the meetings. Organise for getting FP supplies from the DHO.
  • Explore opportunities for funds, supplies and collaboration for improved results, cost recovery, reputation, and sustainability of centres.
  • Supervise client intake, make sure all clients are seen to within the maximum waiting time and are satisfied with their service.
  • Ensure that the centre has all the proper equipment, and utilities and facilities work properly. Arrange for maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain an effective and updated referral system.
  • Carry out/support any research or client surveys conducted.
  • Monitor the cost services income and ensure that it is the lowest possible.
  • Insure the high-quality services within the centre.
  • Monitor and control centre income and Petty Cash, perform cash count and Petty cash reconciliation each shift before closing.
  • Negotiate and monitor the payment of incentives to staff and referral payments
  • Adapt the criteria for free or discount services to local conditions and ensure proper use.
  • Transfer income to Head Office timely and as agreed.
  • Send all cleared advances and all original documents on time to H.O

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Management, Medical certificate, or related fields.
  • Full competency and fluency in English.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Should have very good experience handling finances and managing a budget.

  • Must have good computer skills, including email correspondence with MS
