Context:
Under the overall supervision of the project manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation of content, particularly audio and visual, for external communications, including digital platforms.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Create and disseminate public information on YGUSSWP’s work in Sana'a: audio, visual, written, and verbal. This includes capturing and editing high quality images and video clips highlighting the context in which YGUSSWP works, as well as its activities.
2. Facilitate interviews with beneficiaries and other persons relevant to YGUSSWP’s communications.
3. Maintain and catalogue YGUSSWP communications products, media contact lists, content calendars, and archives.
4. Support creation and maintenance of digital and other content for YGUSSWP.
5. Support and organize public events to promote the visibility of YGUSSWP’s works.
6. Support the public relations component of YGUSSWP projects including monitoring of project visibility plans in line with donors’ visibility guidelines.
7. Manage the production and distribution of communications tools such as publications, stickers, posters, t- shirts.
8. Supervise the production process of communication and publications products/items by closely liaising with service vendors (printing companies, production house etc.) to ensure high quality of final products.
9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum two-year experience in the field of communication and media, and creation of creation of visual content.
- Experience in digital communications, specifically social media
- Experience of working with sensitivities related to gender.
