GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, he/she will ensure that project activities are properly implemented and monitored, and follow up on routine data collection, field coordination, and reporting. Supervising, facilitating, and supporting the team as well as acting as the main liaison point between the offices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing and co-coordinating all aspects of the project.
- Support and follow up the implementation of the project activities and services and its regular evaluation
- Coordination with project stakeholders (beneficiaries, communities, local governing authorities) in the related districts and governorates and participates in the authorities, GHO, and inter-agency coordination
- Monthly supervise and monitor the field activities in the targeted health facilities to ensure the quality of services provided
- Provide technical support and guidance for field team including MoPH staff at supported health facilities.
- Support and follow up the implementation of the project activities and services and its regular evaluation
- Preparing a monthly plan to supervise and monitor the field activities in the targeted health facilities to ensure the quality of services provided
- Follow routine data collection and reporting; prepare weekly statistical of reproductive health services ( ANC ,Delivery ,PNC and FP) in related HFs
- Follow up logistic supply and report for medication and medical equipment, supply and stationery for the related project warehouse and targeted HFs
- Responsible for coordination and conducting on job training for team members and HWs to strengthen their skills in RH services provision.
- Ensures that staff practice the standard procedures and protocols and follow up the performance of quality officers in health facilities
- Follow-up to the rational use medication and medical supply consumption in compared to cases of beneficiaries.
- Raising the problems and obstacles that are encountered in health facilities, following up on their solution and raising them to project management.
- Raising the actual needs of health facilities, including medicines, needs and maintenance, after reviewing them and submitting them to the project administration
- Attending cluster meetings in governorates related hubs with giving feedback for project manager about the main points
- Work together with the project manager on developing and tracking work plans and action plans for the activities.
- Work together with Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure progress towards established indicators.
- Participate and lead needs assessment, analyze and organize data/information that related to targeted HFs.
- In coordination with the project team, organize and carry out monthly project review meeting with all Quality focal points to discuss the obstacle and challenges in HFs and follow up the activities in the project.
- Ensure monthly regular updates (report , pictures, success stories from the field) to the project team in Sana’a office.
- Follow up on employee nominations, verify the qualifications including completing the shortage or replacement of unqualified employees, and ensure that there is no duplication in employment.
- Notify the project management if there are permits and absences in health facilities
- Follow-up the referral cases and form from the HFs after reviewing them and completing all requirements according to the referral protocol and raising them to the project team in Sana’a office.
- Review the working hours sheets of the health workers then raising them to the project team in Sana’a office
- Participate and lead needs assessment, analyze and organize data/information that related to targeted HFs
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Program Manager and report to Program Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or its equivalent (Medical, Public Health, ….).
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience managing complex emergency response programs for development agency in a similar context
- Previous experience of supervising staff
- Previous experience with similar projects
- Excellent in communication skills in Arabic; ability to communicate strategically under pressure
- Self-motivated, results-driven and excellent sense of organization
- Excellent writer – ability to develop high quality reports and accurately analyze M&E data
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions quickly and independently
- Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations
- Ability to relate to and effectively motivate staff
- Ability to represent the Agency in high level meetings with donors and local government
