Job purpose

The Executive Director of the YRCS Branch is directly responsible for the management and implementation of the branch’s business, plans and programmers, the activities of its components, and for managing the daily administrative and financial affairs of its employees.
He is responsible for the direction, follow-up and evaluation of the performance of the Branch, the Sub- branches and units in Raymah Governorate, and he is responsible in front of the branch’s administrative body for the performance of the executive units in the Branch.
He is the main interface of the YRCS and responsible of the coordination with the RCRC Movement partners, as well as other humanitarian organizations, incl. the UN cluster system, and with the authorities in the Governorate.

Job duties and responsibilities

1.    Manages and facilitate the daily business of the YRCS Branch in the governorate and directly supervise the implemented works of the Branch, the divisions and the organizational units affiliated to it financially and administratively.
2.    Carries out of the decisions, policies and general directives approved by the General Assembly and the administrative body of the branch and the decisions of the board of directors, the National Council and the General Assembly. 
3.    Prepares a draft budget and plan for the Branch in coordination with the concerned departments and the Oversight Committee
4.    Provides a proposal to amend the terms of exchange for the Branch and present it to the administrative body for approval.
5.    Suggests programs for polarization and attracting volunteers in the Branch and the its Sub-branches, presenting them to the Branch Secretary-General, and implement them after the approval of the administrative body.
6.    Prepares for the meetings of the General Assembly and the administrative body of the branch and writing and keeping its meeting files.
7.    Evaluates the performance of the Branch employees and proposing their appointment and promotion, and finish their contracts in accordance with the YRCS regulations
8.    Works on developing the financial resources of the Branch, and to save and supervise the YRCS Raymah funds in accordance with the laws and regulations approved by the YRCS HQ.
9.    Suggests the new establishment of Sub- branches and offices within the Raymah Governorate and submit it through the Branch's Secretary-General to the YRCS administrative body.
10.    Prepares periodic reports on the activities of the Branch and submit them through the Branch's Secretary-General to the administrative body, with copied to the YRCS HQ ED. 
11.    Signs transactions of the Branch, financial documents and daily correspondence related to the Branch and facilitate its activities within the limits of its organizational powers in accordance with the provisions of the YRCS statute and the internal regulations branching from it. 
12.    Attends the meetings of the General Assembly and the administrative body of the Branch in the capacity of secretary of the two councils.
13.    Any other tasks assigned to him by the Branch body or SG of the Branch.
14.    Is responsible of the coordination with the RCRC Movement partners, as well as other humanitarian organizations, incl. the UN cluster system, in the Governorate.
15.    Represents the YRCS Branch in front of Governorate and Districts’ authorities.
16.    Is responsible of the follow-up and planning of the capacity building of the YRCS staff members and volunteers at the Branch and Sub-branches’ levels.
17.    Supports the public communication file of the YRCS Branch, incl. visibility of its activities.

Position Requirements 

Technical qualifications

Have and hold a university degree


  • A minimum of 4 years working experience in the humanitarian field
  • To be competent and fully aware of the YRCS objectives, programs and activities


  • Advanced skills in computers (Windows processing)
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Strong skills in training and developing staff
  • Advanced level of English, both written and spoken


  • Yemeni nationality, origin: Raymah
  • No less than 35 years old
  • Competencies (to be filled in by HR)
