The ICRC is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of:

Technical Worker           

Contract type: One Year (part time position, 24 hours per week)
Number of Posts: 1 Post
Grade: A2
Duty Station: Bajil

Purpose:
The Technical Worker keeps buildings, their grounds and any equipment or machines housed there organized, clean and in working order. The Technical Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities 

Functional Responsibilities:
•    Provides technical work under supervision of the Administrative Assistant and Head of Office.
•    Performs routine maintenance on buildings and equipment.
•    Regularly assesses the premises to take preventative action before problems arise.
•    Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies 
•    Immediately alerts supervisors to any issues that could have negative consequences or represent a risk (technical malfunctions, accidents) 
•    Ensures that the exterior of the premises is clean, tidy and free of rubbish 
•    Works on any other maintenance related files upon request 

Certifications/Education Required 
•    Primary school level and some vocational training required.
•    Certification in electricity and plumbing desirable
•    Basic knowledge of English.

Professional Experience Required 
•    Similar work experience desirable. 
•    Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. 
•    Experience of plumbing and electricity repairs. 
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
