Since 1998, Marie Stopes International Yemen (MSIY) has provided high quality healthcare services to women and children across Yemen. MSIY uses a combination of local knowledge and innovation to adapt our services to the situation on the ground and expand our activities to meet the changing needs of people living through the conflict.
MSIY offers maternal and child healthcare (including pre- and post-natal care, and basic emergency obstetric and new-born care (BEmONC) safe delivery; and general health care) through a variety of different channels including private clinics, public sector support, community midwives and toll-free contact centre. MSIY also provides emergency medicines to vulnerable Yemenis. 
Working under the supervision of (MVA Manager) and programme Director, the MVA Officer will support the administrative, financial, and reporting processes that take place between the MVA SPs, DHO Supervisors and Headquarter. that take. This position is an important link between the Manager and the administrative and financial units 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for follow up of Quality friends plans and activities to ensure SPs are providing safe and high-quality services to clients. 
  • Collect monthly Data reports from The MVA Supervisors and the Service Providers from Targeting governorates, follow up the SPs in checking the post abortion family planning, and timely. 
  • Follow up of the needs from MVA Kits and MVA Rooms of the hospitals and forward to the component Manager, to ensure smooth supply mechanism.
  • Assist the component Manager to prepare the purchase payment requests and clearance for the Training as needed.
  • Follow up on the procurement requests and needs of the MVA component and ensure that the process is completed smoothly.
  • Assist, facilitate and organize for all PAC (MVA) training as per the need assessment.
  • Assist, the activities:

1Prepare for the training.
2Prepare the official letters to DHOs and sent it.
3Prepare the Training Materials from Store.
4Prepare the certificate of the training.

  • Provide documentation and filing to all component events and activities. 
  • Assist, facilitate and organize for all training of midwives as per the need assessment.
  • coordinate for DHO and MVA supervisors, MVA Quality Assessors Yearly meeting or as need.  
  • Promptly update the MVA manager of any opportunities, issues or problems with DHO supervisors or targeting public hospitals.
  • Follow up with the storekeeper to review stocks and logistician with obtaining quotations and supplies for franchisees, as needed.
  • Follow up for all incident report and share it with quality department.
  • Take up any responsibility as assigned by line manager (MVA Manager).

Branding of PAC (MVA) Services Be responsible for branding, marketing and distributing of MVA Services.

  • prepared to talk about MSY, its goals its Mission vision and work to advocate for MSY. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • GP Doctor with at  least 3 years working in Gyno/ Obs department 

TECHNICAL SKILLS  

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and teamwork oriented.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English and Arabic is required. Must be able to read and interpret documents, and communicate with others as necessary to perform job duties effectively.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook) and typing.
  • Ability to travel as required within Yemen.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels.
  • Sense of neutrality and ability to work across Yemen, in cooperation with all parties to the conflict.
