Position:  Cooking Demonstrations Trainer 

Location:   Lahj, Aldhalea’a, and Abyan

Reports to: Health and Nutrition Coordinator

Duration:   Till September 30, 2021, renewable based on fund availability & performance

ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, child protection, education, women's protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, and livelihoods programming. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Health and Nutrition Coordinator, the Cooking Demonstrations Trainer will work to Prepare the training plan for cooking, cooking guide ,and training of women to make the healthy meals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The " Cooking Demonstrations Trainer " will be responsible but not limited to:

• Provide basic cooking skills to targeted HHs attending the cooking training.

• Prepare the cooking guide.

• Submit training records and training Reports to the Health and Nutrition Coordinator.

• Promote cooking education.

• Have a good understanding of ADRA policies and procedures.

• Perform other relevant responsibilities requested by the Direct Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Public health, Cooking, IYCF is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in IYCF planning and management of cooking demonstration.
  • Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
  • Good practical skills
  • the ability to communicate well with people, demonstrating empathy and reflection
  • team working skills
  • Communication skills.
  • English and Arabic Languages (Writing and speaking) are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Power Point, in particular)
