Job Title: HR Assistant
Reporting to: HR Officer
Sector: HR
Location: Aden With frequent travel to sub-offices and project sites.
Deadline: 26 June 2025
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Initiate recruitment process for all types of contracts "regular, fixed term, service contract, consultant and casuals" according to NMO’s policies and procedures ensuring maintenance of personnel files.
- Follow up with staff and managers to ensure all staff have annual performance objectives and regular evaluations are being carried out.
- Conduct inductions and orientation for new staff.
- Participate in Monthly processing of the payroll on time and ensure all supporting documents are submitted accurately as per deadline (HR payroll report, contracts extensions, amendments, terminations, resignations, deductions … etc.) ensuring tax and social security are calculated correctly.
- Focal point for staff attendance and timesheets, ensuring the leave tracking database is updated and accurate monthly.
- Ensure that all the staff files are complete and up to date.
- Assist in provide donors' requirements and respond to their human resources observations.
- Participate in supporting employees in providing health insurance requirements and coordinating with the health insurance company.
- Participate in study the employee's training needs and work to cover these needs with the managers of the organization's departments, including the preparation, coordination and implementation of training courses according to the approved plan.
- Undertake other duties relevant to the field of the job assigned by the line supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or relevant field.
Experience:
- ·Essential working experience of at least 1-3 years in related activities (HR practices including Recruitment, Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Capacity Building, Admin)
- ·Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong IT skills and literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong Knowledge of English.
- Good understanding of Yemeni Labor Law.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional way.
- Familiarity with the aid system and understanding of donor and governmental requirements.
- Strong personal and communication skills.
- Innovation and creativity.
- Strong coordination, organizational, critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure.
