POSITION TITLE: Nutritionist for MMC Re-Advertised (2)

JOB LOCATION:

ABOUT FMF: 

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commitment to time and the monthly raised plan for the course of action.
  • Carrying out tasks related to measuring and evaluating the condition, providing therapeutic nutrition, and recording the case.
  • Monitoring the case until it exits the program.
  • Writing monthly reports and sending them.
  • Following up on the movement of therapeutic materials and their transfer from the warehouse.
  • In case of any issues, addressing and solving the case and informing the main office.
  • Working as a unified team and assisting other staff members.
  • Promoting a culture of quality among employees and considering it a work ethic.
  • Preserving assets and liabilities according to the asset inventory.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Per request contributes to nutrition screening and food chain assessment by Health or Protection department and provides guidance on nutrition sensitive activities design and implementation.
  • Collects and reports on time the information needed about the projects for the internal reporting cycle.
  • Translates documents for internal use and interprets upon request.
  • Contributes to organizing and providing capacity-building activities.
  • Provides administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in nutritional science or public health, or equivalent work experience.
  • experience in Food security and Nutrition Projects
  • Knowledge about infant and young child feeding, nutrition during the life cycle and food security and livelihoods programs is highly desired.
  • Strong coordination and team leadership skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
