JOB TITLE: Field Monitor (2) 

LOCATION: 

  • Al-Hudayah Governorate and Taiz Governorate (Mawza and Mukha) (1) [Duration: 5 months]
  • Al-Dhale'e Governorate (1) [Duration: 2 months]

REPORT TO: Field Coordinator

ABOUT FMF:

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

The project aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs, intentions, and vulnerabilities of the IDP population in Al Hudaydah/Mawza,Mokha / Ad Dhalea through an intention and profiling survey, informing targeted humanitarian interventions and advocacy efforts. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Field monitor plays a crucial role in the field is responsible for monitoring the Enumerators and supervising on collection data and conducting awareness about importance of survey and about projects implementation, also monitoring and evaluate the behavior and quality of work

POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring the process of survey and quality of the data collected. 
  • Conduct Awareness sessions about importance of the project and survey. 
  • Monitoring and evaluating the behavior of the Enumerators in fields and raise report to Field Coordinator. 
  • Raise complaints or problems to field Coordinator from field if any. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelors' degree.
  • Leadership Skills.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
  • Ability to adapt within the working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the specific context and challenges of working in IDP hosting sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse local people, including local authorities, international organizations, and community members.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel, for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of monitoring skills in field. 
  • At least 2 years of previous field experience in an NGO.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in an NGO.
  • Readiness to commit and adhere to the values, mission, and vision of FMF.
